How many firms should one target to interview at to play it safe while recruiting for IB?
@angelasunx32 жыл бұрын
As many as you can / could reasonably see yourself going to

Can you speak on your experiences with working with associate bankers? Working with MBA grads vs promoted analysis?
@angelasunx32 жыл бұрын
Most MBA associates are fine after they have a couple of years of experience - when just starting out, they're similar in experience to analysts who just start out. Promoted analysts usually are faster and more technical because they've had more experience hands on keys as an analyst

@@angelasunx3 awesome! Thank you. I just accepted to my B school for this coming fall, USC EMBA. Would you say, for IB recruiting for associates, it’s pretty similar to recruiting analysis? GPA, Resume, network, study financial edge? Would IBs be more focused on recruiting full time MBAs, rather than part-time, emba? That’s on EMBA career pivoter; good/bad? Persons age(doesn’t matter)? Sorry, opened can of worms. Not enough associate videos on KZbin

Hey Angela, when spreading comps, do analysts usually use Bloomberg or factset to get numbers directly or do they use 10k, 10q to calculate them manually?
@angelasunx32 жыл бұрын
You use factset to get a direct, "quick" number and you spread comps to get a more accurate one, so you'd have to do it manually with 10K / 10Q

How often would you say are analysts sitting around waiting for comments after submitting their work? Also is this why hours are pushed to 80-100?
@angelasunx32 жыл бұрын
Depends - usually when you're waiting Sometimes - comments can take anywhere from half an hour to days to come through. So just depends if you have another project to work on while you're waiting (usually yes)
