I mean she was rocking the awe track I believe. It’s illegal to not have mufflers in ca. even if the car came stock straight piped they can hassle you. I have the awe touring on my Sti and that is still loud Af, I have to be careful driving.

Sold my STI 3 Months ago…i only miss the rumble.. so so much with the Awe track exhaust. picked up a 2022 is300 last week tho a lot more reliable in the long run and I get and 10 extra mpg than the STI lol. You make me miss the STI ALOT THO

It’s not really recommended , you can have other ones besides oem slightly bigger a bit more beefy like the grimmspeed,Cobb shift knob etc nothing crazy tho

Bit of a mansplain. It's so rare to cause transmission or gear box damage. It's an old trope based on ancient car design.

The sti trans is beefy enough to handle 700 torque resting your hand on it or using a weighted shift knob isn’t as detrimental as you think.

Fully tuned and FLEX here but drive like an old old man most times. Boys are always behind me but keep going past after running my plates. I also keep no stickers or advertisements on my car and make it seem simple - although the DP does make it rumble more, I just drive normal and try to keep my eyes open of my surroundings. Sucks to hear that happened, and I hear it such a PITA.
