day in the life: mommy + malibu

I’m a mommy of 4. Just some mommy advice that you can take or leave. 😊 Here are my suggestions/tips: -She can be in the sun, it’s good for her. Just not in direct sunlight too long. -Make your own baby food. It’s totally worth it and better. -Feed her in just a diaper when at home. Easy clean up. Also, let her get messy and clean up after. -when introducing new foods, let her smell, play, etc it’s something new and they are curious. -with toys, less is actually better. Don’t want her to be over stimulated. I’m sure I’ll think of more but all in all, you and Moses are doing great as new parents! Love, nourish, and quality time is pretty much all a baby needs and y’all give plenty. Much love! ❤

Great advice. I’ve had 6 kids and feeding with just a diaper on help clean up for sure. Home made food is best. I did lots of lentils and peas. Trish loves being a mom so much🤗🤗

Trish try giving Malibu her own little spoon, whilst you feed her from another spoon. It'll give her hands something to hold and you can simply focus on feeding her. Good luck and well done little Malibu 💗🥰💗 You're already a very independent little sweetheart 💗🥰💗

I had my first about a few weeks after malibu!! We're in the same stage. Sleeping thru the night and realizing newborn stage was easier😅 mine doesn't really nap in the day a lot either which I didn't expect so trying to keep her entertained all day is definitely harder than the beginning for us ❤️

You should have multiple spoons, one she can use and play with while you feed, she's so Smart and acts like shes starving lol 😂, don't worry so much about continuously using paper towels, just let her get messy and do one thorough clean up when you're all done, studies show that constantly cleaning their hands and face creates a negative response to getting messy or dirty, resulting in anxiety with messy foods and mental health disorders such as OCD and general stressful meal times, which should be a fun happy experience! Speaking from experience of being an adult with childhood food/mealtime anxiety my whole life, (therapy, therapy, therapy ) and I have a degree's in early childhood development and child psychology, childhood anatomy and several minor and certifications such as; Sciences of The Identification and Treatment's of Medical and Mental Health Conditions and Disease During Gestation and early stages of life. CNA, Nurses delegate and just finished my MA degree and Midwife/Abdulla finals. In my opinion, I think you and Moses are doing great, and Malibu displays many advanced features at her age and I encourage you both to keep encouraging HER, never confine her Abilities to a certain age group or percentile! Allow her to learn and grow as fast as she can and wants to! Continue to read and educate yourselves on developmental stages and how to best guide and gently push her to accomplish as much as she is willing to absorb, learn and progress, through these stages!! Wooohooo love you guy's! Love watching her grow! Also when you, for example are done with the sweet potato,.teach her the sign for more, sound it out, and show here what signing "more" gets her, and let her eat as much as she sooooo enthusiastically displays she wants to 😜😍🤗👍🏼🤟🥰 she's definitely a foodie like her Momma!

They have this it looks like a pacifier she would hold in her hand but you can stuff it with different fruits, different vegetables, different foods and it’s a mesh so she can eat it right out of the mesh and it’s OK. I think they’re great. She’s only getting what she can taken. It’s probably the best thing I’ve seen I have gone through a few of them, I have one for veggies. I have one for fruit and I have one for food and then I just bought a few extra but yeah they sell them at target. Amazon has them.

Wow what a good baby! Look at her feeding herself your doing great trisha! My son turned 11 months today. I'm a new mom too. Wait until she starts rolling over while your changing a dirty diaper snd fighting it! and trying to crawl around and grab everything on the changing table or they grab their very dirty diaper as soon as you take it off 'When all you wanna do is change a dirty diaper and it's like wrestling an alligator' 🤣 it's unbelievable how strong they are! I've had to put a diaper on my son while he is sitting lol my son thinks it's hilarious watching mom struggle 😂

She’s five months old. Shouldn’t she be babbling??? My son started babbling at two months old. He would screech & make all kinds of sounds & laugh constantly. She said she could lay under that play mat thing for 45 minutes?? My son could never. It’s her being so, so quiet & so “good” that concerns me. I hope I’m wrong. I’m not a nasty person.

Great job Trish!! I did the exact same thing you do with your daughter, talk talk talk lol I would use my voice manners with her all the time. Please and thank you, even as a new born I did this. Now for all the haters out there, some babies cry some babies don’t. True honesty I believe what makes a happy baby is how you feel inside. Example. My daughter never cried, reason being I myself was happy and content within and my baby girl absolutely could feel my energy!! So Trish and Mosses you guys keep doing what you are doing. have her try the Once upon a farm baby food purees better!! they’re organic and have clean, pure ingredients (fruits and veggies) ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Also the baby food puree pouches so she can try sucking on them! Gerber has had lawsuits for having sketchy ingredients on their foods!

Only a suggestion because I wish someone told me this! I am just like you where I would talk talk talk to my baby which is so great. At mealtime it can be helpful to give her the food faster as she clearly wants it ALOT in this video at least. Then when she starts to slow down you can do more of the playing around kind of thing if that makes sense. Long story short, she wants that food so let her have it as fast as she wants!! Lol ❤️ I know alot of other people have commented this as well but don’t be afraid to let her get as least a LITTLE messy at mealtime too :)

I remember feeding babies when I was a nanny...and some of those little sweetpeas..would spit their baby cereal mixed with fruit on to MY face and facial area...it got right into my hair,I kid ya NOT!! My son's hair is like this at the moment. He is almost 5 months old. It's quite common for babies to lose part of their hair, if not all of it. New stuff will grow in!

It’s completely normal especially In babies who were born with quite abit of hair ( if you watch the birth blogs Malibu had a lot of hair) the newborn hair falls out patchy from friction of sleeping usually and then the hair grows back ( the long patches of her hair at the front is hair that didn’t fall out from friction that why it’s in the front where babies don’t lay on) every thing else is new growth 😁hope that helped

Wow!! Malibu literally has everything a baby and parent could ever hope or wish for. Say what you want but I’ve seen a huge shift in Trisha. It’s not just her anymore that she has to think about. From what I have seen she has done a good job of making sure her baby comes first. From big things down to even shopping. Some people have a hard time realizing and adapting to them not being first and getting everything. Now Trisha just buys everything for Malibu and shops at target for herself😉

You should teach her sign language. I taught my daughter at that age when she started eating and showed her how to communicate “all done” and “more” because it really saved me when she wanted more food or she was done.
