Who else think she’ll be doing her residency in OBGYN?
@hS-nt6pr4 жыл бұрын
I ruptured at 32 weeks, thanks to my ob team we were able to keep baby inside until 35 weeks. He only had to stay in the NICU 1 week, it would have been a LOT longer if he was born at 32 weeks. The standard used to be to induce when a prom happened, but thanks to some new research we now know it's better to hold off the delivery when possible as long as their is no infection risk. I love my OB docs and labour nurses.

Hi Brittny. I did an internship at the University of Florida this summer through the SHPEP program, and it was awesome. I just recently thought about becoming an OB/GYN. Loved the video!

Im 12 and i'm looking for a career I'm really interested in being a obgyn but I wanna know what I need to do to become one and while learning to be one what job should I do on the side?
@Sheri2424 жыл бұрын
Hi I’m 12 too and I wanna be an obgyn too .Obstetricians and gynecologists typically need a bachelor's degree, a degree from a medical school, which takes 4 years to complete, and, 3 to 7 years in internship and residency programs.

Yup like the other person said, a bachelors (undergrad) and while doing your undergrad years you need to follow the pre requisites for med school. So your major doesn’t matter but you need to follow the pre requisites. Then take the mcat (a six hour exam 🗿) which will help get you into med school if you do well. Four years of med school in which 3rd year you do rotations like the person in this video where u get to try out different specialties like obgyn and then apply for residency in fourth year which is kinda like a paid internship/training in which you specialize. So that’s when you would train for obgyn which is usually 4 years for obgyn and then boom doctor......a lot of work for sure and takes commitment but I’m sure it’s worth it in the end

@RealJamieRiggs4 жыл бұрын
I believe she is in the military, not sure which branch, but there are Healthcare scholarships offered by branches of the military in return for military services after graduation. If you're interested check into HPSP (the acronym that most of the branches use)

@@obim9549 the D.O. curriculum is a little different from what I've experienced (current D.O. student). Still the same HELL of med school lol but there are differences in our curriculum.
