I'm always amazed every time I hear someone from the BPO industry speaking English.

Pinaka importante na makaintinde ka ng English, sumunod maka basic English ka, then the rest susunod na yan as you go along. Marami jan nagsimula sa halos wala (di pwedeng walang wala as in walang skills ha) and then now, supervisor na sila. Confidence is the key.

Nice Video Jen. BPO takes good care of their employees. The problem though with BPO is the nature of the job. Most of the time when you get used to taking calls and doing the same thing over and over everyday, boredom comes and follows exhaustion/ burn out. It will be an advantage for BPO career aspirants to always have a positive energy and try to have fun on the job every now and then to avoid this. That is why marami silang pakulo sa office, to lift up employees' spirits so they can perform well. Salute to BPO agents. Been there for 5 years and it built my confidence , analyzing and leadership skills a lot.

It is hard to stay on voice accounts and stressful pa. I got lucky and was hired in a non-voice project management account and only did 2 yrs of calls in total. Most experienced BPO agents move out of voice accounts or get promoted. Ang baba pa ng sahod sa voice account unless siguro skill based like healthcare or with Google or tech support. Most of us work for project management in telco accounts and now hiwa-hiwalay na kami and most of my previous workmates were able to get a 40K+ starting salary since we are on Project management line. Ung iba nasa 60K-80K+. Lalo na pag nakapasok sa Google or sa mga technical non voice account, you can even get more.

Happy ako sa Teletech for 6 yrs now. You have to think critically and analyze customer effectively para mabigay yung recommendend solution sa bawat concerns nila. Kaya wag maliitin ang bpo industry. Yun lang.

There are also other benefits like attending recreational activities and projects, discount for meds, snoozebox, cheap cafeteria and free gym 🧡, and awards for getting high audit scores and by being punctual and having no absences. I remember our group always win for the best group as well. There is also the night differentials every night shift and bonus if may holiday pa sa ibang bansa. There's also a discount if you want to continue studying vocational studies, language studies etc that they offer. Thank You Miss jen for sharing things how does it feel like working in BPO industry. Now, i am an unemployed because i left my job in the hospital as a staff nurse but before that i am working in bpo industry for almost 2 years. Being an agent is really tough and an uneasy to handle irate customer. But it turns out to pay off my dedication and perseverance as an agent. However, i upgraded myself to QA because for me this is really heart touching because you've encountered so many agents that their calls is zero. Sometimes you feel upset but i understand all agents because i used to take calls from customer and got zero until you realized it " Am i worst agent"? That's how bpo industry looks like. Many agent give up and change their career.

Great way to showcase the call center and bpo industry... I am proud to be part of this industry for the past 17 years... and hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa rin matanggap that other people thinks that working on a bpo is so easy at minsan ni la "lang" lang ng iba... Thank you Jen for uplifting the industry that continues to bring jobs to Filipinos... #BayaningPuyat 💕

How??? Did you planned to stayed that long in the industry? What do you do when boredom strikes you?

@@lZ8463 dapat talaga may goal ka... example on my 2nd yr sa industry dapat di na ako nagcocalls. I explore mo din other facets ng industry - training, quality, ops leadership. Pwede din move from one project to another one para bagong product or process naman...

Yes, hindi po madali sa call center. Unang struggle is if you can't speak fluently tpos irate pa client mo, mahihirapan ka tlaga makipag usap. Currently I'm on my 7th month & I'm planning on finding a job other than BPO. Siguro, hidni sya para sakin.

I'm proud to say that I am one of the products of BPO World. I remembered that 5 years ago I was not at the top of my life because I had been struggling with a lot of challenges such as finances, so I did, I applied to bpo which is one of the known bpo companies here in Davao City, and fortunately got hired!! Way back then it taught me how to improve my communication skills since before I was not that confident in terms of speaking in public but now, I am confident enough that I can talk to foreigners, especially North Americans. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!

Jen, this is so fascinating! I’ve always wanted to see the headquarters of a call centre. The facilities in this particular one look so well maintained & the atmosphere seems very welcoming. The social events give it such a balance. Anyway, it’s a nice insight to your past life, you really are so multilayered! What next? 🤔
