Hi Noah, I'm currently a point of choosing whether Data Science or BIM which generally have many courses overlap. I was stressed of thinking whether I should continue to commit with Data Science as it seems not fitting into my availability and conditions for now. I have worked hard to fulfill this major but it feels daunting at some points. After watching both of your videos about being a Data Science student, I remind myself of my reasons of choosing this major and why I worked hard for it. Thank you! Love your videos ❤

learning data science is pretty hard, but I def think there are a ton of opportunities for us. i've been applying and there are for sure jobs out there, but you gotta just put in the work just like any major

Love your videos Noah, just got hooked today and was wondering if you were planning on filming a video about how you film and edit your videos? The production is amazing and I was curious about just where to start.

thank you tina, this means a lot! I probably won't film a video on my production since it's not really my niche, but I can give you some basic info: I use a sony zv-1 to film and premiere pro to edit. I use tons of free sfx and transitions found on the internet and youtube for the effects. let me know if you have any questions!

hey! i really love your vlogs as i'm an incoming data science (and business) major for uni this fall! i j wanna ask what laptop u use for data science? ive been having a dilemma since i couldnt choose between a macbook pro m2 13" (for the fan and more power) and a macbook air m2 (for the lighter weight). which do you recommend?

congrats! you chose a really good major combo. I currently use an M1 macbook air and it does the job. having a light backpack helps a lot hahah. thanks for the support

thanks alex! i dont think it would be that difficult, especially as a freshman where the two curriculums are nearly identical. I have some friends who did that with no problem :P

If that doesnt pan out ill paste my questions here its just alot of text which is why i thought it would be more convinient to discuss in a vc -I love my extracurriculars like sports and gyming and social life and participating in events other than my academia and studies. So how is UCI for people trying to find that balance? How's the rigor as an EE student? -Why should I come to UCI? What are the pros and cons? What do you, as a student, wish you had known before you joined UCI? -I've heard that typically the first year is almost the same for everyone and we all will have common classes. As a student who's gotten in for engineering will all my classes be the same as my other major colleagues or will I have a mixed pool of common and engineering specific classes? -How do I go about setting my schedule and signing up for classes (staying on top of it so I don't have to be forced into making my choices by being late) ? Is there a website/platform from UCI to do so?
