I competed in dog obedience trials for many years with my German Shepherd and I can tell that you have put a lot of work into his training already. He is a very amenable dog who is bonded to you and looks to you for direction. He is everything that a well-adjusted, well-trained German Shepherd should be. I am sure that you enjoy him very much

@@VNSAW That is very interesting that your GSD doesn't respond to treats or food. Neither did mine. The only exception was that I trained him in tracking using liver which he adored. I would give him his food and he would eat a little, then walk away, eat some more a little later, then walk away. He would almost never finish his food. However, my wife who would teach horse riding into the evening would come in late with her cat and the cat would dive right into the dog's food. My German Shepherd was very very motivated by his tennis balls and you might try using those as part of his training. However, you can see that he watches you and is focused on pleasing you. I doubt that any motivation outside of your praise would be overly effective. You do the right thing by socializing him both with other people and with other dogs. All in all you have a very pleasant well-socialized companion dog.

WBDE I always thought it was weird that my German Shepherd doesn't respond to food also he's never begged for food a single time in his life you could put a whole pizza on the couch right next to him & he wouldn't move a muscle

I love everything that I do - my job, Shadow and making these videos. Because none of it feels like a tedious task, it makes it easy to enjoy and balance it all. In my opinion, the key is to absolutely deep down love and thoroughly enjoy what you choose to do My partner is very supportive of my dog and filming. He helps with taking care of shadow - training him and taking him out. My close friends also love Shadow and support my videos, so everyone around me is happy while I get to do the things that I love. Without a close support network I probably wouldn’t be able to all this. I don’t have a lot of time to myself, but when I do - I make the most of it 😁

You have a very savy dog,just watching him interact with you and other dogs tells me a lot about his character,you have him in lovely condition, GSD thrive on consistency in your commands,they always alert to the environment they are in,you are doing the right thing allowing him interaction time with other dogs,also let him interact children,they love children to play with them,I was brought up with a female GSD as a small child,she was very protective of me,they are great judges of people character,they know who they like and trust,but will be very wary of those they perceive to be a threat to there close family. Firstly, I don't live my life around my dog. Secondly, they had already woken up, eaten and been to the toilet before I started filming that day. The first clip you see is them taking a morning NAP

How do you ‘deal’ with your dog? There’s a schedule on the weekends and I’m telling him we’re going on a walk. Shadow works around me, I do not work around his schedule. Shadow was waiting for me all morning to get ready, so once I was done eating and filming some haul video it was time for me to take him out. I didn’t ‘abruptly’ wake him up and there was a reason I was getting his attention
