How often do you work these super long hours as a house officer? That doesn't seem sustainable....cheers

hey! for weekend shifts, it's averages out to be something like once a month depending on what specialty you're doing! Let me know if you want to know anything more regarding the hours :)

@@drummerboynz awesome! How’s third year treating you? On average, one long day (15 hour) per week on top of working normal hours throughout the week. You’re expected to work at minimum 47 hour a week to 70 hour a week (7 consecutive days). Note if you’re working in NZ you’d be expected to work 10 days consecutively including weekend (94 hours on RDA) or 12 days consecutively (110 hours STONZ). Hope that helps!
