Thanks for all the comments! I have since moved to DC and filmed a (realistic) video of me visiting the Microsoft office in Northern Virginia. If you liked this video, you might like this one too. Check it out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o16cnaalith8lacsi=gIZ40PeEBzFXJL0x

The skate section was super cool. Looks like the park near piedmont park. Based on your skyline, I think I lived within a block or two of you, so your video takes me back a bit haha.

MS Soft Eng in Atl? Does MS pay pretty well? I imagine your salary in the high 6 figures, luxury vehicle, much nicer apt or house, OLED wallmount tvs, Sonos speakers all over, nice furniture, etc...

ahh I love these kinda videos they're awesome. Does the Microsoft in Atlanta require a degree to be a software engineer? Im current in a bootcamp and self teaching.
@bryan_truong Жыл бұрын
Hey Aaron, glad you liked it! I actually am uploading another video soon just like this (now that I live in Washington DC). As far as your question, I don't think it is required. You will need to have a strong resume and prove that you have relevant skills, though. That goes for pretty much any company/location (not just Microsoft Atlanta).

lol Microsoft: You do not have to work a lot but get a lot of money.
@bryan_truong Жыл бұрын
Pay is good, yes, but compared to Meta, Google, Netflix and other big tech, salaries are a lot lower, though. I also don’t think that “I don’t work a lot”, though when this video was recorded things were not very stressful. Check out my other day in the life and you’ll see a much busier time: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o16cnaalith8lacsi=5jxopn5EzQK87GAd

You didn't mention your salary at MS yet, as promised. 😅
@bryan_truong Жыл бұрын
haha I didn't say when exactly, just sometime in the future 😜 But in all seriousness, I'll probably wait until late 2023 or early 2024, since that way I can speak to the full year's TC. Right now, I've received the signing bonus but am still waiting on vest dates, and microsoft's yearly bonuses get paid out in September.
@johnp9890 Жыл бұрын
@@bryan_truong what are vest dates? Getting bonuses sounds good. That is the way to start as a young professional! You can start to build something up immediately.
@BrittanyGates4 ай бұрын
@@johnp9890In simple terms Vest Dates are when the stocks become the employee's property instead of the company's property.
