Hey! I have a small tip that really helps me. Envision the skill you want, then envision the muscles needed to perform the skill. Every time you think of achieving this skill, think of the muscle and how strong you need to be for it. It helps motivate me a lot.

@rahulsampat3159 жыл бұрын
Hey Nile! I am a collegiate gymnast out from the states. Just had a few questions. I just recently had some work done on my ankle and have been out for a good month or so. I feel i have lost a large portion of strength and possibly gained a few unwanted pounds! Do you ever put running into your weekly workouts in order to stay light? Any suggestions for ankle rehab? Please let me know what you think! Sincerely, Rahul Sampat

Hi Nile, what sort of training programmes do you follow? I found an elite programme from city of Birmingham at Lilleshall and I saw that they had a day dedicated to forward tumbling when they were on floor and the next was for backward or something along those lines. do you have a programme similar to this or do you just go with the flow!? Also, are you working towards world's? I hear the trials are next week (if so good luck! 😀)
@NileWilsonGymnast9 жыл бұрын
+Lewis Walker Hey Lewis. my program isn't really set out like that. Comp prep I will mainly focus on rouutine work & have heavy weeks to build fitness the taper down the closer I get. No competitions I will spend lots of time working on new skills & upgrades for my routines.... I am, 1st trail for men is 26th.. cheers mate

I don't know if it's just the camera angle, but it doesn't look like you eat very much for the amount of exercise you do ( maybe I just eat a lot ). I was just wondering do you eat a lot on training days, or do you purposefully not eat too much? Just so you know I'm not criticising, good nutrition is a big part of my life and I was just curious.
@NileWilsonGymnast8 жыл бұрын
I probably don't eat that much compared to most.. Gymnastics requires you to maximise your strength to weight ratio & staying lighter has its benefits... Also metabolism is different for everyone & mine is on the slower side 😉💪🏼
