Watching this video made me realize how stressed out I really am. When I watched you guys move, my thoughts were just like: "Quicker! Faster! How long does it take to take out that stuff from a drawer!? Take out that bread quicker! Is this slow-motion? Nobody ain't time for that!" Jesus... My head is like a drill sergeant. I'm shocked... I wish I could chill out a bit and I envy you a bit ^^° It's not easy to be so calm and relaxed.

its slower especially for the vlog aesthetic, but we should all be more stoic and think that we need to pay more attention to our behaviours because being so anxious can be very overpowering to us and make us miserable

I know what you mean, watching someone who is going to work slooowly prepare breakfast and then slooowly eat it and then sloooowly wash up is a kind of excruciating. It's like, hurry up, you have work! Maybe it's because I view the evening, not the morning, as a time to relax over a meal. I don't think I could relax properly with the whole day ahead. Each to their own, of course.

I don't know why I love watching people live their life, while I waste my life imagening and looking at others trying their best.. . . . . . EDIT: Thanks for the likes, I didn't realise that so many of us are THIS SIMILAR, I think we all are finding ways to escape from the mess our life is. So, we find peace in these calming videos. It's great to watch these amazing people live their life, I hope that we all start living ours too. Let's take small steps. :) I might just be motivating myself but let's just try okay, and lets keep trying. 🕊️🕊️ sending you all so much love and a push to GET IT DONE!!

Looking at how life flows, calm and serene, I realize that it is possible to be happy with so little, minimal, and necessary. Knowing that someone is waiting for us, and that we can share simplicity in living, this is priceless. It doesn't take much to be happy.

@WhitneyDahlin
@WhitneyDahlin 3 жыл бұрын
@@charlottcharlott4469 yeah true they do cut a lot which would take even more time to film the same thing over and over again. I do notice she seems to not be in a rush tho. I think a lot of it is culture. In America everyone always rushes and rushes and rushes, Tokyo for the most part shuts down at midnight because the train stops running then and if you miss the train you have to pay for a very expensive ride. America runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week everyone's always in a hurry to get somewhere everyone's always in a hurry to get something done. I really believe it's very much a culture thing. In America people rush all day and then get home and rush around to clean or make dinner or take care of the kids. In America our culture values productivity far more than mindfulness and Japan being a very buddhist culture mindfulness is a thing very much in high priority.

@runway5338
@runway5338 3 жыл бұрын
@@lindah5011 totally! I just want to add that is a lifestyle that’s not restricted to a single country. Most routines I’ve seen in Japan are a bit more fast paced anyways, but that’s the same for any average city folk in the world. Taking our time to enjoy the present and being mindful and calm about it is something that anyone can do w/ practice and diligence. It may not work for some ppl, but it’s worth a try for anyone who’s interested. Chances are, if you’re not already incorporating (or trying to) any of these techniques in your life where you’re currently living, moving to a different country wouldn’t make that much of a difference. We’re creatures of habit, after all.

I dont mean to be hateful but I can tell you are pretty young. Migration is no easy feat to pull out. Japan is also not an easy country either, is a really expensive country even compared to the US, not to mention the reality of ethnicity and culture, Japan as well as mosts east asian countries are an ethnocentrists nation, with if I recall correctly, 99% of the population being the same race, its going to be hard to be part of that type of society if you are different. Also the working culture is different, average working hours is 9.5 hours a day and only one day of rests, not to mention the drinking culture, you habe to go out and drink with the boss after your shift is over. I dont mean to discourage you but migration is a serious topic and one I do know about (Michoacan, Mexico to San Diego, California)

@@crystyxn it depends. 1 on what you would consider the chores 2 if there is more to the family than husband and wife. I think the working Partner should still so some things, maybe more when they are Off, but also generally, like bringing out the trash, or getting some groceries on the way home. It's important for the working Part not to forget, that household is also work, one that doesn't stop after 8 hours, especially with kids. If you never do anything, it's easy to forget the value of that work. And you should never forget that the partner who is looking after the house also want to have time Off from time to time and not always feeling like a housekeeper/Parent.

I will never forget when we lived in Japan, there was a gas station near our home. There were several men working there (outside) to service your car. They wore uniforms and rain boots, and they were always cleaning. It was so clean!!! No grease in the concrete, no trash, always washed and clean. The men were so nice coming to wipe your windshield, pump your gas, anything you might need. This was in 1982 so probably not like that anymore.

So true...you gotta try not to be stabbed at the dollar stores in the United States LOL I remember I went once with my mom for eggs, and there was a fist fight right at the registers. All the items are broken or have been opened. Especially the food, parents let their kids open packages and eat the contents without paying, leaving the trash there. It's not always bad, but it's never really good either

Sixteen years after leaving school, I hear that sound and my stomach jumps in my throat as I'm transported back to having to get up and face another (usually not great) day of junior high and high school. I'm happy cellphones now exist and I can choose a much more pleasant sound to wake up to, XD! I guess it depends on our lifestyle. it looks quite normal to me. When I am able to wake up at least 3-4 hours before work, I am able to do my chores and cooking at a more leisurely pace. it sets the tone for the day and makes me able to handle work without much stress. And regarding their color coordinated outfits, it also happens to my husband and I, mostly intentionally. We both love similar colors, so end up buying and wearing similar looking outfits. :)

@@menangt8731 Shame though that this "day in the life" does not feature work, transport issues, other family commitments, chores etc. Its lovely that they have a relaxed time and can stay calm. Good on them. But its cherry picking. All Insta style photography and styling and product placement and tone has a theme - beauty, serenity, calm, clean, BETTER. Its a falsehood - its as fictional as a cartoon. Yes we should all aspire to be calmer and more mindful - agreed but please lets not compete with each other about "your stressed and I'm not". Its just another way of shaming people. All humans are vulnerable and we have great days, good days and rotten ones. Our days are filled with great moments, good moments and rotten ones. Instagram and these types of curated packages have one intention - look at the beauty of my life. If a camera was set up in this couples apartment and they simply went about their normal day I promise you this Day in the Life would look very different indeed.
