This is such an excellent comment! 19 years ago my husband was killed in Iraq. I had 2 kids in diapers 21 months apart. My son fell by tripping over his own feet. He fractured his frontal lobe and has a TBI for life! The one thing I was grateful for was women like you who had children already and knew more about it. It’s literally impossible for this little girl to be a pro at going up and down the stairs! Children this age can easily get head trauma from a simple fall. No way mom can catch her since she constantly has that phone in her hand. Your comment came from love and kindness. I know first hand the aftermath of one little trip. I have commented before and she’s been snarky to me as well. It really does take a village and learning from other moms doesn’t make you a bad mom it makes you one of the greatest! Hopefully “she will decide” to hold her hand before anything bad happens. Those of us with grown children now know it only takes a second. Vanessa I can understand how sometimes things come across as women telling you how to parent. In fact I have seen some of that on your page and it’s uncalled for. A comment like this though could save Penelope’s life! Her head and brain are stil very fragile at her age. Maybe in Canada it’s different, but here in the US we have a saying that “it takes a village” to raise a child. You are a new mom just like we all were. You can learn so much by just listening to other woman who have been through different experiences while raising children. This doesn’t mean you have to do everything the way we do it. However if you were to be a bit more humble and just listen to what we have been through and learned you may develop a way that works for you and adapt it to your parenting style. Then in 20 years when you see a young mom you will be able to pass on your wisdom and be a part of their village. Please understand not everyone is out to boss you around or tell you how to parent. Some of us have actually been through it and have learn it only takes a second for an accident to happen that can have devastating consequences. Little Penelope’s legs aren’t even long enough to fully clear each step so she can easily get caught on one and take a tumble hitting her head causing a brain injury or worse. Now we can’t save our children from everything we can be proactive to prevent. Your videos often have some type of line about how you are doing it all on your own. You aren’t the first single mom and you won’t be the last. However if you use the tools and resources you have “your village” you be a very successful single mom that doesn’t have to go through things alone. I hope some of this made sense and you are able to be a little more humble and kind to some of us. Especially if you want us to continue supporting you and your channel.

My daughter used to tell her friends “my mom is coming to get her nails done and eat lunch with us too she’s not our uber driver” 😂 her friends were always so kind and didn’t mind me tagging along. I even got to be in some group photos! If you had to go through this stage I hope it was short and sweet! I couldn’t imagine one of mine not wanting to be close to me. ❤

Cute video, Penelope’s lunch was super cute. Chili is something I like to make it’s pretty easy, just dumb all my ingredients in the pot and let it cook. Of course now I canned up my own chili so I just heat it when I want some. You two had a lovely day it seems, I especially enjoyed you sitting together on the couch and you playing with her hair while you chatted, and her cute munchkin voice. Miss those days now that my girl is older, but I still enjoy doing things with her, she’ll never know how much I love her. Have you thought of getting a kitten? I don't know if you are allowed to have pets there but I would look into it. Cats are so easy, you wouldn't have to drag it down all those flights of stairs to walk it like you would a dog and no potty training required. Thought it might be fun to watch the kitten grow up, help you with healing. Just a thought. I know my cat is a huge emotional support for me, she knows when I need extra cuddles.

I don’t even think he tells his new gf the truth. No idea. He was on board with Penelope then assaulted and kicked me out during my pregnancy with her. I had just moved in with him and 2 weeks in I left and we ended it. Tried again and told him I wanted baby 2 and he was on board and that’s when I got pregnant with Priscilla. Then ended right when I found out.

Your a great momma but you should've taken Penelope inside to eat lunch ...she seems like she deserves it. I never see any videos of you taking her to eat or to walmart for a toy..girl live a little. Life is short . That mcdonalds trip won't kill her I promise and you'll have alot more fun!!!

I do take her into lunch mostly on Sundays after church and just don’t film it 😊 I also buy her toys and went and got her a few new things let her pick out whatever she wanted when I got home from the hospital. Maybe I’ll include those in my videos 🥰
