Day In The Life of a Software Engineer in Montreal

I'm a 24 year old, recent graduate working at a high growth startup! Though I work remotely full time out of Houston, I visit other places every 3-4 months. This time, I'm with my brother and we're going to hang out in Montreal. We'll walk you through a day in our lives as we work in-person from the office.
You'll see my usual day-to-day routine working in person, from coding and debugging sessions to casual hangouts and lunches with coworkers. And you'll get to see the beautiful city of Montreal!

@@guards1992 I'm sure it depends a lot on the team, the company and your personality. But for me it's something like this: - if I go to the office then I get up at 7:30, prepare, sit on the metro while listening to music and reading reddit, get in, say hi to the team, sit down, sit at the computer and work on my current tasks, attend meetings, occasionally stand up, go for a bathroom break or a drink, I usually skip lunch. At 5pm, you stand up and go home. - If I'm working from home, then it's the same except I get up at 8:45 in the morning. So, no. My day is not spent chasing the next bit of food to consume xD

For a few months now I have been searching tirelessly for information on how to start investing. I even payed $1000 for a course that I now regret. It appears that there is no structured guidiance for beginners on how to get started in this realm. I've come across several investors making well over $250k/annum and would be grateful if anyone on here could provide insights on how to get started, identify potential stocks, when to make an entry, exit etc.

Keep it simple in the beginning. Buy something, like an index fund, and hold. Educate,,,,,,, yourself in the meantime and elevate your risk tolerance over time.

If you trade without the proper preparation, you're most likely to lose your money. Identify the buy/sell ratios and identify the market leaders and most importantly.
