There was not a lot of work done here... I'm a software developer in Montreal and I can tell you with certainty: this is not the day in the life of a typical employee in the field :D

@@guards1992 I'm sure it depends a lot on the team, the company and your personality. But for me it's something like this: - if I go to the office then I get up at 7:30, prepare, sit on the metro while listening to music and reading reddit, get in, say hi to the team, sit down, sit at the computer and work on my current tasks, attend meetings, occasionally stand up, go for a bathroom break or a drink, I usually skip lunch. At 5pm, you stand up and go home. - If I'm working from home, then it's the same except I get up at 8:45 in the morning. So, no. My day is not spent chasing the next bit of food to consume xD

For a few months now I have been searching tirelessly for information on how to start investing. I even payed $1000 for a course that I now regret. It appears that there is no structured guidiance for beginners on how to get started in this realm. Keep it simple in the beginning. Buy something, like an index fund, and hold. Educate,,,,,,, yourself in the meantime and elevate your risk tolerance over time.

If you trade without the proper preparation, you're most likely to lose your money. Identify the buy/sell ratios and identify the market leaders and most importantly.
