I work as a software engineer in banking in london as well, I usually start the day around 9:30 AM after daily team morning meeting, I find that apart from meetings and project planning, I have two deep work sessions in the day and usually finish the day around 4:30 - 5:00PM

Great vlog! Are you currently working on any side projects or will be working on any in the future? I would really like to contribute and collaborate making it an amazing opportunity for me to learn and work while being around experienced people like yourself.

hey, which language do you think i should learn first as a beginner for software engineering? i might study it in the future so i want to learn it by myself for now...
@hrishiv Жыл бұрын
Python is definitely the most easy to pick up syntax wise, so you can quickly progress to learning more important computer science concepts such as data structures and algorithms. However I learnt C++ as my first language, which is much harder syntax wise, so it makes any future languages you do seem much simpler. I don’t think you can really go wrong with either approach!

@@hrishiv what if i learn html and css first? then python and then C++? do cs majors learn html and css??
@MelinaKim Жыл бұрын
I personally learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript first and I don't regret it. However, I've heard that Python is also a good option since it's simple to understand for someone new to programming :)
