High quality video! RE: Battery life. I think the way Apple determines battery life is by general web browsing and streaming video playback. If that's all you did, then it'll be closer to the 24 hour battery life. But if you're actually doing real work, like software development, then you'll get no where near the battery life that Apple advertises. But the battery life you're seeing is still impressive given what your workload is like.

I respect the self awareness with the idea of tech influencers always having the latest and greatest stuff. For a lot of influencers spending that much money of tech in like pennies for them considering they can make content / business expense so they end up making the money back very quickly, its a good investment. However, for the vast majority having the latest and greatest isn't always worth the price tag but with all the content being produced by influencers, it is hard not to feel FOMO. Anyways big respect to the videos coming out recently. The hard work doesn't go unnoticed. Been here since under 5k subs. Keep it up

The 24 hour battery life is with the regular M4. The M4 Max run at a faster clock speed which kills the battery quicker. The M3 pro and the regular M4 will give you 24 hours of battery life. The M3 max and the M4 max has the same amount of battery life. The benefit of the M4 max over the M3 is the TB5, the increased memory bandwidth (affects GPU performance), higher clock speed, and the camera. The screen and brightness on both monitors are exactly the same. You need to enable a setting on your M3 to use 1000 nit. This upgrade is marginal and is worth skipping if you already have a maxed out M3 Max. If they increased the memory bandwidth to 800 then I probably would upgrade but as it is now there is no significant improvement to real world performance. Battery life is still the same and hasn’t changed either.

im sure the air will be more than fine depends on your budget and how long for you want to future proof 🤔 one thing i can say about the pro version is that it really doesnt get that hot even after a long session whereas the air might as it doesnt have fans 👀 that pro version you listed would definitely last you maaaaaaaaaany years in the future no problem

Pretty sure for the battery life when using a additional screen it will take more energy to transfer it and will consume more battery also i assume some apps use a large amount of the macbook which equals even more draining
