This video is a portrayal of a classroom, however the child-to-staff ratios outlined by the ministry can be found on www.ontario.ca/page/child-care-rules-ontario

Why don't I ever see any ECE videos that show classrooms where there are only say two adults (maybe co-leads, maybe with one being an assistant or only an aide), and 12 2-3 year old toddlers - multiple of whom have trauma-induced emotional and behavioral problems, SPD, autism, fetal alcohol syndrome, underdeveloped receptive language and/or expressive language skills, and/or any number of any kind of diagnosed - or as of yet undiagnosed - special needs conditions for which they are receving too few, poor quality, or no early intervention services?

The answer is because that would scare people away from the field. They rather have people go through all the training and show up and find out.

@@cryforthemoon Okay, I get that. But seriously, what about the annual training videos for those of us who have already been working in the field, haven't yet been scared off, and could use some helpful ideas on how to effectively deal with the sort of real-life situation I've described?
