Yeah we had parents who were happy to cook. So the band bought ingredients at Costco. And the parents make like pasta and stuff. It’s easier to buy in bulk

It's so fun watching how other bands work! I absolutely love summer marching band with the parades. but marching season only consists of two comps for us and it's a lil sad. it's always cold during our football games too, ugh!

@@ian-go1ih Modern snare drums are snare drums used for concert band. If we're talking marching snare drums, then many (if not all) marching snare drums are manufactured to have a tilt so that you can play traditional, like back in the days where soldiers carried around the field drum.

Lyla Laycre really? I’m pretty small (5’ and a bit underweight) but I’ve always just worn the uniform and rolled up the pants. We got new uniforms this year that are a lot more adjustable so it’s for now.

Unfortunately most bands have no say in what they perform. My band director won't let us choose because he doesn't think were advanced enough for some of the better ones.

Yeah!! I believe it was at Logan! They change the grass all the time. But sometimes it’s like a carpet. And it leaves colorful fibers on your shoes after!

My band is a cult I swear. We are just a ton of crackheads at times. (AheM PRACTICE) but then we have our really fun and serious times when for example our detector broke a drumstick and it hit him in the face. Many memes were made. But like serious times when we need to practice. It's so much fun and I'm excited to do this for all four years of highschool plus 8th grade. (The county does this thing if basically you want to be in highschool marching band as an 8th grader your allowed to but you must take one fine arts class for at least a full semester

Wow that’s awesome! That’s the way to keep a strong band. Get the 8th graders curious and interested so they start high school with friends in the marching band! I have a recurring thought where everyone that has ever been in a marching band was in the same marching band. I feel everyone has the same experience and the same vibe. Everyone in these comments say similar things and I thinks it’s so great!!!!

We had people playing baritone instead! We were a pretty small band. Like 50-60 piece band. But it’s also easier to transition a trumpet player like my self over to baritone instead of trombone since the valves tend to be quicker to learn than positions
