I always wonder if assistance use their own money to buy their client everyday things or does the client give them a weekly allowance

They use a dedicated credit card the funds on which come from the client's business account. If an assistant for some unforeseen reason has to use their own money, they submit an expense report to the business manager -- or dedicated financial handler -- and get reimbursed. Occasionally a client will just hand over some cash -- which is already accounted for from their account -- and have the assistant use it for purchases. I've been an assistant for a record producer and a major songwriter.
