I was really looking forward to this kid playing for the Sioux when he was committed there. BUT it looks like he made the right choice for him and he's a hell of a player we'll be seeing in the pros soon, so wish him the best!

Why does D1 have so little hitting and physical play? I see much more at low level college club hockey.

cause it's bad hockey, the guys are slow, they can't keep their heads up, and they don't have the skills to avoid hits. In D1 you don't get many chances to attempt a big hit, if you try all the time you get burned

I know right. I hate that physicality is going away on all levels of play. Refs pretty much call a penalty if you land a big, clean hit.

College season is much shorter so every game is a big one. As opposed to a junior season which is long and guys play old time hockey when things arent going their way. No playoffs in college hockey. You have to qualify national tourny
