I appreciate the positive words! I almost didn’t add the part about the slide Calc, but seeing comments like this, it makes me glad I did. Slide Calc really 1 of my favorite apps for trucking. It hasn’t let me down yet, & I’m always good at the weigh stations. And yeah them mom and pop truck stops are super clutch. And they always have way better food than the big truck stops. I genuinely appreciate you commenting 🤜🤛💯

Try googling “slide calc app” …it should be the first search result on google. Once you click on it, it should take you to the App Store. For some reason, if you type the name directly on the App Store it doesn’t pop up. Try the google way and let me know if it works please

It’s really the hardest part about being a truck driver. But trust me, you get better with time. Take your time, get out and look & just focus on not hitting anybody truck. Over time, the more you practice, you’ll get better & better. I’m still learning everyday.

Congrats on starting CDL school! You bout to get to that bag. I appreciate you tapping in with the channel. I have a playlist name “CDL talk”, it’s full of videos about CDL stuff. Check it out for more CDL related content. My biggest advice would be to focus on learning how to back. Mostly the 45, that’s the maneuver I do almost everyday. Here’s a good video I made too. Thanks for your video. I wanted to know do you think when i finish trucking school ill have a hard time finding a OTR trucking position? I had my license suspended missing court date for a ticket i received for obstruction of traffic/obstruction of a lane. I basically stopped my car on the truck stop ramp entering the expressway because i had a panic attack. Schneider said they would consider me still but i havent heard good things about Schneider but i only talked to two people who worked for them..can u give me your thoughts i dont have a criminal record or any other traffic violations

I personally don’t think it would be hard for you to find a job with that type of ticket. I had a few tickets myself before I started truck driving. I think as long as you don’t have a criminal record then you’ll be fine. I’ve also had friends that had way worse tickets than mine get trucking jobs with no problem

@@Xoxol602 From the research I’ve did, they seem like any other mega carrier. From the last time I checked. They require you out 3 weeks and you get 5 days hometime. I don’t believe they have inward facing cameras, only outward facing cameras. Depending on what the cpm is, and how many days you can get home. You should be able to decide. Overall, I think they are just a “starter company” ..stay for 6-12 months. Once you get 1 year experience, you’ll have way more opportunities. Just need to get the experience as a new driver to have better opportunities.
