Private equity sounds like a mechanism that extracts the most amount of value from a business, and transfers that wealth to the few general partners. Everyone loses - the business, the employees, the local consumers, the tax payers.... except for the general partners!
@MablePauls2 ай бұрын
Investors should be cautious about their exposure and be wary of new buys, especially during inflation. Such high yields in this recession is only possible under the supervision of a professional or trusted advisor.
@SirBenjamin-oq1wd2 ай бұрын
True, initially I wasn't quite impressed with my gains, opposed to my previous performances, I was doing so badly, figured I needed to diversify into better assets, I touched base with a portfolio-advisor and that same year, I pulled a net gain of 550k...that's like 7times more than I average on my own.

I’ve been looking to switch to an advisor for a while now. Any help pointing me to who your advisor is?

“Angela Lynn Shilling’’ is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.

The people you’re claiming don’t benefit wouldn’t have benefited with or without the private equity buyout. The business was failing before private equity came in, they just more efficiently manage the end of the companies life. Most likely allowing most companies to work there longer than they would have been able to do before.

does the business stop working after you sell it?

As part of my retirement plans and also owing to the very shaky housing market now, I just sold a property in Philly and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying its ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $200k gains in months, I'm really just confused at this point....
@MartinArthur-900028 күн бұрын
Yes, a good number of folks are raking in huge 6 figure gains in this downtrend, but such strategies are mostly successfully executed by folks with in depth market knowledge, And it also all depends on how long you're willing to hold for, stocks might likely tank further, but making serious gains in this downtrend wouldn't be a problem if you're a pro...
@JacquelineTheresa28 күн бұрын
@VioletDorothy90 That's impressive, my portfolio have been tanking all year, tried learning new strategies to gain in the current market but all of that flew right over head, please would you mind suggesting the adviser you're using ?

@VioletDorothy90 Thanks a lot for this suggestion. I needed this myself, I looked her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.

@@davidc4408 Agreed, math degrees can get you into finance but doesn't limit you at all, more versatile than a business/econ degree on the well paid and technical side of industries. Paired with a double degree or majors/minors in a secondary field is a powerful combination.

Hey Elvin, I personally don't want to be putting out an interview tip video because I find it kinda boring, but anything technical in Finance is usually the various approaches to valuation + accounting. Literally search up "How to make a DCF" or "What is the CAPM model" you will find all the answers you need. Also refer to the BIWS 400 questions.

I really enjoyed your video and I feel like your channel has potential but I have 3 questions if you don’t mind: 1. How much do private equity analyst usually make and can you improve on your role 2. How do you get hired, does your education matter? 3. Is rent expensive? It would be really helpful if I get answers because I also want to work into this kind of stuff
@economicsethan Жыл бұрын
(1) $135k and above for Private Equity salaries. Yes you can improve your role and increase your salary to above $500k after several years of experience. (2) You can get hired with a solid Finance or Economics degree for a top university. Increasingly, banks are more open-minded to recruit university students outside of these types of degrees and outside of top universities. You need to go through rigorous interviews - I did 9 interviews to get my Goldman Sachs Job! (3) Rent in any major city with top finance firms will be very expensive e.g. New York or London. It's best to move in with flatmates. Let me know and I can help on future questions, I have 10 Years Experience in the Finance industry and my KZbin channel will have plenty of FREE advice to help you improve your CV, Cover Letters, LinkedIn Profile and provide Interview Practice. Stay tuned.

Analyst make around 120-150k usually, depends on your title. I know some people who can made a little more or less depending on location. Education and GPA matters a shit ton, you need some great internships or prior experience if you don’t go to a target school. Some places require a masters. And rent is New York is dummy expensive if you work at a firm there.
