Make sure you know you're the man. You gotta have that mentality. The mamba mentality and most importantly the do what it takes mentality. Stay aggressive, never hesitate and be confident in yourself. God made you for a reason. You have a purpose and that purpose may be the hall of Fame. Listen you are special and dgaf about what anyone says stay true to yourself, and have faith in you. The success will follow you are not an average player, you not mediocre, your not basic. I see a future NBA hall of famer in you.remember this scripture, Philippians 4:13 you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. With that said idgaf if I believe in you it only matters if you believe in you. You got it man no 🧢 💯

You have incredible discipline young man, and you should be eating more to take advantage of it. I understand you don't have much time on your hands for prep, and need to rely on fast food, so this goal might seem ridiculous. What will work is adding a protein shake that you blend yourself. Oats, banana, peanut butter, protein powder ~ 500 cals and it takes less than 5 minutes. The energy will put you in a nice surplus to put on muscle at a reasonable, healthy pace. Stay with me for one more thing. When you workout in the morning forget bicep curls. They are a waste of time. Do chin-ups instead. The exercise works all the same muscles plus your core, and back at the same time. It's also much easier to progressively overload, which is key to increasing strength and building muscle, because you can add a belt to hang weight from. Okay I lied, but just one more thing for real. I don't know your exact schedule, but consider adding barbell squats into your early morning routine 2 - 3x/wk. Here's a great ~5 min intro video from a squat expert/genius: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJOxcmRtgM91sLc Low-bar squats in particular are great for developing your posterior chain, which you rely upon to an incredible degree when playing basketball. You have talent, and a great foundation. With your skill, all it takes to make money playing this game is 15 more pounds of muscle. That sounds like a lot, but when you do the math it's just 150 days of having an extra protein shake. I'm just someone anonymous on the internet, but please consider what I'm saying. No skin of mine is in the game, I just want to see talented people with potential succeed.
@DANIEL-MELEK2 жыл бұрын
Dawg I see where your coming from with the bicep curls, i play basketball too and i see them as quite pointless. I do like the bicep isometric that he was doing tho but i dont see any point of working the biceps at all if you play ball

Hi Dakota, thanks for the vid. You're a gifted athlete and I'm nowhere near you skill-wise, I'd like to share my knowledge/experience with you though, if that's ok - maybe you'll find it helpful. As far as the gym - these are some pretty BS exercises my man and I would not bother to get up this early to go to the gym to perform them. You'd be better off with some more sleep, seriously. Bicep curls, tricep pulldowns - what good are those for a professional baller? Goblet (or barbell) squats, deadlifts of any type, burpees (burpees to db deadlifts are great as well), thrusters, pullups and plyo-pushups are exercises I wholeheartedly recommend. Get that efficent work done and you'll see the difference. Also, as already mentioned by someone here, clean up your diet man. There's a ton of resources on this but the sooner you do it, the better. Just because you're slim doesn't mean you're healthy and your body is working efficiently (it's just because you burn a ton of kcals due to your training). I'm sure you've got coaches and dietitians around you way more competent than me, just listen to them and you'll be all good. Wish you luck!
