Thank you! I'm sorry to hear you've been dealing with an injury I know it just sucks but hang in there it will make you stronger, smarter and more resilient!

i felt that talk so much, I got injured a year ago and have reinjured a couple times since than-losing that ability felt like losing a piece of myself that i'm also scared i'll never be able to get back. so you're definitely not alone in feeling like that, hopefully everybody experiencing that special form of grief will be back at it so very soon :)

Well what a lovely surprise! It's always a great day when u post a vlog! Regarding to your talk about negative moments Imi I think you are so strong and resilient and an amazing role model. As much as the setbacks you've experienced has caused you both physical and mental pain, it has also showed just how persistent you are in getting back on track (literally!) and how much of a beautiful soul you have. I just know that you have the ability to get through those negative moments and come out stronger - both mentally and physically. You are such a positive influence in this world and I'm sure there are many others who watch ur vlogs and social media posts who have been inspired to be healthier bc I know I personally have! Also!! This is just a suggestion but I've been watching this youtuber (Victoria Garrick) and she's a former athlete and a body positivity advocate. Watching through some of her videos addressing mental health and body image issues has had a very positive effect on me. I just wanted to share the suggestion in case whenever you (or any others reading this comment!) has a tough time regarding these issues. You are doing so so so well and it's clear that you do care so much about your health. Love u imi and have a great week xx

Hi! i just wanted you to know that I actually love your videos xx I'm an athlete too, although i swim, and a few years ago i struggled with an eating disorder and have been working to overcome disordered eating since then. Its just really interesting to hear another athlete's perspective on these sorts of topics because i feel like its often really looked down upon in the sporting world and not many people talk about their struggles. You should be really proud of how far you have come and of the progress you have made! You were talking about feeling a little defeated about the plateau in performance BUT in that time you have made so much more progress mentally and personally and your outlook had likely changed in a way that will effect the rest of your life! be proud of that xx

you're single-handedly one of the strongest people i know. i'm an in EXTREMELY similar position as you - i also am trying to get my period back, but i cannot stop training for track. it's so incredibly difficult, and the fact that people take that as you prioritizing your appearance is sad. also thanks for posting the herbs!! i'm the one who asked hahaha

imo gen this may sound crazy to u but i think taking maybe a break from running (as in training and competing) could bring back your love for the sport. if you take a break after a bit u will be like i miss it so much. for everyone it will be different how long that break is but i think it may be good for you mentally to refresh and realize your life without competitive running isn’t the same- it could also be vise versa and u decide you’re happy without it

I promise you will get that fire for sports back girl! I have been trough the same thing, it can feel a bit harder doing the same training sessions when you have gained some weight ect .. but i promise you will get there again. Xxx paola

Thank you! xx Physically I feel much better now that I'm a healthier weight and training is easier in that sense, I feel stronger, more energetic and faster and I'm not so fragile/ lethargic/ weak like when I was super underweight! It will just take time until I'm mentally feeling completely healthy and actually running decent times again I guess! :)

Try not to get too hung up on how you used to feel about your sport vs. now. As we get older our worlds get bigger and we have more things over which to spread our energy/enthusiasm. The 'this one thing is my world' mentality is common among teenagers, but as adults we realise that it isn't very healthy. I hope that you will find your love for your sport again, but know that it might not look the same, and that is ok.
