So far they want to focus on the multiplayer . They are still unsure if single player will be a simple sandbox where people can test out each dragon, or if it should be story driven. At the moment there is always the option to host your own personal server and play with yourself.

@@Lusewing ok, yeah I can understand they want the best game possible. Perhaps I should say that I’d like a way to play without dealing with ping (my internet is horrid) or paying extra. I might have a look at hosting a server or something, but I somehow doubt I’ll take the leap. I don’t see it being worth the money in the games current state. Ah, but I should stop complaining. I bought an early access game, I can deal with the consequences.

It is still very early in it's development so there is nothing wrong with waiting a few updates to see if the game looks like a right fit for you. There are a few other dragon games being worked on to that might have more of a focus on single player. Fingers crossed for all of them. The world needs more dragons.

Good lord I really look forward to this game more than ever now- so much looks like it’ll go into each species- and it’ll be amazing. But I seriously hope tlc goes into the map as well. I’d love caves, nooks and crannies to explore to really open up an experience as a dragon. Special places only certain species can get into and such- special flora and stuff just to give an immersive beauty to it all.

The Devs are currently looking for a full time map designer, last we heard was that they had some people they were looking at. And you can bet we will get some epic caves! The lead developer LOVES caves and hidden locations (big Ark player). In fact if you go watch the most recent Developer talk on the Beawesome Games channel you will hear them confirm we will be getting Clan caves which will not only act as spawn locations - but are customizable. It’s wonderful to see how much thought has gone into the mechanics of each dragon, how they will have their own play styles instead of just filling out a check list with visual variety.

The colouring is very similar though with the rework they have given it a much softer looking face and the wings are now in one piece. I'm really looking forward to flying round as a Single crest as it will be one of the fastest dragons.

Me to! Its going to look like a comet streaking through the sky if it flies with its flaming body activated. The Inferno Ravager should be with us by early next year. I think now the Magma elemental has had all its animations finished the animator that was working on it will now move onto the Wyvern.

The Acid spitter drake actually has some aquatic elements to it with a swim bladder and able to swim below the water for an ambush attack. This ability could be expanded in the future.

Not so, every dragon (except the Hybrid) can nest you in, even the DLC dragons without owning any of the DLC's. And all of the dragons from the Kickstarter stretch goals (not the Bio) can be Unlocked by anyone on a server to be played at spawn.

Yes, other then the Bio dragon, you are able to unlock each of the Kickstarter dragons in game. Each dragon will have its own unlock method and once done you can freely spawn as that dragon, on that server.

As each of the Kickstarter dragons come out (apart from the Bio) they will become unlocked on the menu screen for all Backers to spawn as. None backers will instead need to unlock each dragon by doing something in game. We don't know yet.any of the unlock methods. Dragons are unlocked on a server by server basis and players can also just get nested in by their chosen dragon wether the dragon is unlocked for them or not. NONE of the Kickstarter dragons will be DLC. DLC dragons will be the Acid spitter drake, the Blitz striker and the Fire Behemoth dragon. Other DLC planned are an emote pack for RPers and a skin pack (the skins can then be bred into the population.)

@@tikitak7672 You can still get nested in as a Bio, you just won't be able to create a fresh spawn from the menu. Thankfully you can have one of every dragon on a server so as soon as the Bio is out you won't have to give up any of your other dragons to play as it.

Which is a drop in the ocean in gaming terms, even if they had gotten the full amount. The nice thing is that you don't even need to buy the DLC dragons to play them, you can just get nested in as them for free. The sales of the beta is going so well in fact that they have upgraded all of their official servers and are now hiring extra animators.

@@uncleyoda. Then you would need to buy it, however it is one of the weaker tier dragons, either 1 or 2 tiers below each of the always unlocked dragons. So it is not like you need to buy it for power, it is simply a different play style (great if you like to hunt in a pack stealthy in the trees)

Oh we are huge fans of HTTYD, and loads of other dragons in Media and Mythology. Dragons are just fantastic for all their designs. From the Drakes, to the dragons, to the wyverns and everything in between. The wide range of designs planned for the game will mean everyone will be able to find a dragon they enjoy the look of, from the classic to the modern.

How do you get beta of day of dragons?

From the 21st of this month everyone who owns Day of dragons (steam link in description) will enter Beta as the old Alpha will be closed down for good. However if you would like to play a week early you might want to look at the DLC Acid Spitter, as this will give you access to the Beta, but only as the Acid spitter. If you would like to spawn as a Shadow scale during this early week you will need to get nested in. Conversely, after the 21st everyone can spawn as a Shadow scale, but unless you own the DLC Acid spitter you will need to be nested in to play as an Acid spitter.

Kickstarter is a short time, croud funding site. For about a month people are able to buy exclusive packages and rewards and in doing so help fund the game - if the goal amount is not reached the project is cancled and no money is exchanged. It is a very useful site for indi developers to get their projects funded without having to go to a publisher.

Kickstarter was the way the game was funded. It's a website where peopole can ask for money to then make something like games or books or films. The people who back the Kickstarter will then get rewards depending on the amount they backed. For Day of Dragons you got copy's of the game as well as access to certian skins or dragons without having to work for them in game.

@@dinkelkong5043 there will be rare hybrid eggs you can find abandoned. If you are able to hatch it then you can become that new Hybrid dragon, the other dragon will be saved and you will be able to re-log as it. These mechanics are subject to change as they are not yet implemented into the game.

That depends on what you consider to be slow. Patches come about every two weeks and we are expecting our first content patch just 3 months after initial launch. It's still too early to tell any sort of update schedule but looking at the content shared on their Patreon they are making good progress. The fantastic launch has meant the Devs can hire more animators. They currently picked up an extra short term animator who is making fast work of the future AI.

Most of the dragons take inspration from diffrent dragons in media. Its less of 'ripping them off' and more just giving people lots of options of their favorites to pick from. The Singe crest will likely be one of my mains when it comes out. Its had some reworking to its wings and legs lately to help with animation after they ran into issues with the Inferno ravanger.
