Seriously, I'm big on genetic genealogy, and just discovered that I have inherited ancient French Jewish DNA from a Jew who so happened to settle in my home city in 1068, but many centuries later, his descendant became a cryptic Jew, when they were expelled from England, at about roughly the same time as the era in which this film was set, so it is very pertinent. Ironically, my Huguenot ancestors clung to their Protestant faith and chose to leave France, choosing their faith over remaining in their home town. Personally, I'd always choose my freedom over a life of pretence,

I cannot believe it! I'm watching on KZbin TV, the story of my ancester, every word I ever heard is true in this film my poor ancesters what they went trough, I'm in tears they wanted to destroy kill just b3couse we were Jewish! So sad!this film is so real it's scary this is what we knew my ancesters were Marchant and if not for the king I would not be here! Queen isabella was a nusty piece of work,not the king!
