Don't let what others think ruin your chance to have fun or pamper yourself. Make reservations and go to dinner or go see a movie/musical! Pack a picnic and sit in the park! One of the best parts about going out is people watching ;)

I find it much easier in big cities where so many people sit alone... now I live in a village and it would look so strange for me to go to a restaurant alone. the city is very freeing for that, no one looks at people in the city.

It's empowering to go out alone. Treating yourself at a nice restaurant is amazing. Yes some people might notice but they will surely tell themselves they wish they could do the same. It shows great self confidence. Try it once. Start small if you have to. A coffee shop, bakery restaurant, lunch place to eventually go for nice diner. Enjoy the atmosphere, watch the busy kitchens or bar counters, People arriving or leaving, enjoy your beautiful food, savour the moment. Don't look at your phone! That's right, leave it in your bag or pocket. You can do this ;)

@Khasper Tastic - I used to feel the same way when I lived on my own in London and then I realized that life would pass me by if I always waited for someone to do things with. I made Sunday my special day and would start off by going to church, then doing some shopping, followed by lunch at Nandos (always the spicy chicken wings and chips), then a movie (Sundays were cheaper than other days so it was a win win for me). Then I would go home after a wonderful day spent on my own. After that I mustered the courage to travel on my own (first trip was to Paris) and that was wonderfully liberating. Do it. You get over the initial embarrassment very quickly.

Yes and also how orderly everything and everyone is. I am quite a introvert and sometimes freak out in crowded spaces (currently after lockdowns it become really problematic) but in Japan I can just relax and the vibe is a lot calmer

The Dutch baby recipe is cool. The base is the same as a Yorkshire pudding in England...but an extra large version! Some people make the pudding extra large and fill it with roasted meat and potatoes with vegetables & lots of gravy.

The pampering day was great! I felt I was by your side and enjoyed every minute. The jewelry you bought is delicate and beautiful. The lunch you had was regal, just like in the movies 👍it was perfect! I was wondering about the H2O balloons, but what a great idea! The home meal with salmon and roe looked exquisite. My mom, used to make a hand softener with glycerin, rose water and lime mixture. Her hands were always really soft . The last take where you show the feral cats, is just great. They look healthy. For me the best way to start/end my day is watching your videos. I also live alone and life is good. People close to me are always saying that I should settle and have family, but I don't feel the need to, yet. Who knows, maybe later, I will, but I'm still young, I think, as I'm in my thirties. I hope that someday I will be able to visit Japan, one of my favourite countries, although is very far. Watching how japanese people interact, the respect for each other makes me think that I should have been japanese, but maybe I got lost 😄. Good morning Nami and I enjoyed all the food preparation and finished dishes. Delicious, healthy, decadent and I love the colors when combined with each other. I liked the jewelry you picked out so very delicate. I myself only wear my wedding ring, it is a celtic symbol on my husband's side of the family. I live on a farm and jewelry can be dangerous near some machinery or certain animals and I hardly ever wear makeup, ( just sunscreen and chapstick.) Wishing you a joyous weekend and take care.

I've come to the conclusion that most types of jewelry are nuisances. These days, it's only small earrings when I leave the house, otherwise--nothing. Because rings and bracelets get in the way during meal prep or cooking and necklaces entangle in my fine hair, I have so much just sitting unused.
