Expectations are set too high for movies in general. This movie delivered exactly what was promoted in the trailer. It's not to be criticized, just experienced. It's a gimmick B movie you either love or indifferent to. I personally enjoyed myself and that's what matters once it's all done.

I think they should've leaned into Snoop and Jamie Foxx's relationship more. As in, I wanted to see them serve in the military together, then get set up with the Union and start hunting vampires. That, in my opinion, could've served the plot better than the estranged family dynamic.

This movie was fun and hilarious! Great chemistry between the actors, great chase and action scenes, and I LOVED the soundtrack. Reminds me of one of the types they used to make in the 90s. This movie was not trying to be an Oscar winner, nor was it trying to be a breakout story with elements no one has ever seen before. It seems silly to judge it by those standards. The dialogue between Foxx and Franco was especially hilarios!

@@moviebuff3000 I didn’t say it was 100% practical. There was obvious cgi enhancement, but the majority was practical. Those were actual contortionist and gymnasts doing those stunts. A huge injustice in this film was almost completely sidelining Scott Adkins. This could’ve been legitimately good. They could cast Adkins as the main character or one of two or three main characters, and this could’ve and should’ve been played more straightforward and serious. With someone like Scott Adkins as a main character, they could’ve ramped the action and choreography up by more than 100%, and in the process, they could’ve made the vampires way more menacing and powerful, even with the hunters having so many skills. Think of what we’d get if this movie, with the 87/11 crew, plus Adkins as the main character, gave us a great combination of “30 Days of Night,” “Blade,” and “The Raid,” with very little comedy if any (and practical effects instead of CGI vampire faces, for God’s sake). That’s the kind of movie I actually would’ve wanted to see.

This is a Netflix film to a 'T'. There's a 'Nothing more, nothing less' feeling about this film that is typical of most films coming out of the Netflix. Don't make any effort. This movie started out awesome and progressively got more meh. The 1st fight scene should've been the boss battle but it wasn't terrible by any means
