Knockout Dave The Bore hole is the first thing we invested on at our home 20 years ago, it has never run dry and gave us tons of water, Hope yours is as successful mate. GT

Hi all. Have you checked the quality of your water. Local government can help you if you ask. Over in sisaket the water is very salty and contaminated from too much phosphate

Yes, things are moving along. Unfortunately, we can't stop the work as this season is the only season I can get the workers. I know what you mean about the smog but needs must. Stay healthy big man.

Well, this guy used an app, I have seen others use copper sticks and I have seen others just guess from experience. So a bit of everything I guess, the general rule is that if there is no water, you don't pay them.

hi Dave love the progress, i would like to ask you some specs on the well, what size, how deep, what pump and of course some indication of price. Also thank your wife for the info on the soil we found some close to our land paid 230 bth per 5m3 truck rice field top soil now we start the well thats why i ask you, i get prices all around want to hear some story's from people i can believe.

The size of the bore is 6 inckes. We went 60 meters down but could have stopped at 30. The man who dug it said to go deeper as more people are digging 30 meters. That being said. We paid 19k baht for the digging and pipe, he also dug another hole further back on the field, so for two we paid 19k. We haven't started the irrigation as yet, so the price of the solar and pump are yet to be determined. We have a seperate guy doing thaat from a previous farm we had. Glad you go your soil sorted.

Crickey they found water quickly. Is it worth asking them to go deeper to ensure a better supply? Do the same people install the pump and solar power? I would be interested in the cost as I may want to do the same on some of our land at some point. Great blog guys. Keep em coming 😀

Hi Steve. That was a very short well edited version. It took about 1 hour to find the water, we also had a second bore dug at the rear of the farm. Total was 19k baht, remember that different areas have different prices. We will have a different crew fix the solar and irrigation.
