That peg you were stood in to look at the lake is the same peg me and a mate fished the first time I fished St Johns. I love that lake and would fish it over any of the others and that common is why I like St Johns.

Great session Gareth. When I saw that single burner I was worried. But all was good when the double burner appeared. Respect to you fella trooping through the winter. Must admit its a bit easier when the swims ain't all muddy and wet. But your committed mate and that's commendable indeed.

Love the vid.I have always been told to use a supple rig when using bags, and you are saying try to use a rig that resets its self cus of the birds, may I ask what rig/components do you use in this situation.Thanks.

Red Kite mate. Has a pointed Swallow tail and pointed, bent wings. Buzzards have a rounded tail and rounded straight wings 👍

Good video again Gareth. I’ve never fished St.Johns as I like Oxlease too much, but maybe I should give it a go. Can’t wait for the next instalment. (FYI the bird of prey was a Red Kite, can tell by the forked tail.)

Fillet steak cooked well done and soaked in tuna oil stays on the hair rig a treat , everyone was blanking all week i changed up and made my trip to france worth while 😂😂 serously ha ha
