Day Trip to BALTIMORE Maryland Vlog: Inner Harbor, Federal Hill, Fort McHenry, Mount Vernon

In this USA Travel Vlog, we head to Baltimore. Known as America's Charm City, it's the biggest city in Baltimore. While people often talk about how dangerous Baltimore is, it also has so much history and many interesting places to visit! We started our day at Federal Hill Park. It's a free park with amazing views of Inner Harbor! After seeing the views at Federal Hill, we went to Fort McHenry. Fort McHenry is famous for it's role in the War of 1812 and it's also known as the birthplace of our national anthem. While we didn't pay to go into the fort, it's free to walk around the grounds. We were even allowed to tour one of the historic boats: the Pride of Baltimore II. After exploring the fort, we drove over to Mt Vernon to have lunch at the Mount Vernon Marketplace. It was a really cute market with tons of different food options - including some Baltimore favorites like oysters and crab cakes! After lunch we walked to some other popular places in Mt Vernon starting with the Walters Art Museum. It has free entrance and so many artifacts inside! We definitely recommend going here if you're in Baltimore! Outside of the Walters Art Museum is the Baltimore Washington Monument. It's actually the oldest Washington Monument (even older than the famous one in DC)! You can enter the bottom of the Washington Monument for free. Usually you can pay to climb to the top of the monument, but it was closed when we were there. Next to the monument is the Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church. It's a really gorgeous church! You can even go inside for Sunday morning church service. Next we tried to stop by the Peabody Library as it's one of the most beautiful libraries ever! However, it was also closed when we were there.
Next we went to Baltimore's Inner Harbor. We debated going into the famous Baltimore Aquarium as on Friday nights it's half off tickets! There are also tickets you can buy to tour the famous historic ships in Inner Harbor! We walked around Inner Harbor a little and watched the little paddle boats. It was a great day in Baltimore, Maryland!
