I reide a 2016 Indian Roadmaster (111) and love this bike. I have removed the large luggage rack from the back of the bike as well as the lower front fairings. I also installed Rinehart 4" slip-ons and a High-Flow air filter... I also replaced the large seat that came on the bike with an Ultimate Seats solo seat that is heated. This bike is now an awesome bagger! Ride safe. Share more of your journeys on your Roadmaster. I love the way you ride... lots of curves... you are quite the motorcyclist. Be safe.

Thanks, and I appreciate your comments. You are so right, there is just something so nice about this bike, from the way it handles and rides to the way it sounds. I really do need to post some more rides but just seems like I’ve been too busy lately. I’ve been riding just not recording.

You don’t know how happy I am to see those! I just watched your Deals Gap video! Nice job! Great info for the ride.

Thanks John, I was thinking of you when doing the video editing LOL! I was remembering the old days at FSU and how you are an expert with it. Editing is more difficult and time consuming than I thought.

Thanks Freedom Rider! I was surprised at how much work goes into doing these videos, it’s fun but there’s some serious effort.

That’s the great thing about North Carolina, lucky enough to be able to ride year round. You’re right, these are great bikes!

Yeah I live in Colorado so the roads are kind of sketchy early in the year with the Sand until the street sweepers come in and take all that out

I take my FTR Rally to the Dragon early in the season. When it gets crowded at the gap, I ride other twisty roads like The Snake 421, or the Diamondback 226-A.
@Pats2Wheels2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely and I do the same! FTR Rally eh? That is a bike on my bucket list, I hope to own one some day.

Did that exact ride last time we were there. Dropped the wife at the resort and rode to the overlook and back. Love the 28 back down to Bryson City too.

You are so right. There really aren’t any bad roads in that area, and it’s so nice to just go exploring!

Question for you: can the roadmaster tour pack be easily removed?
@PatsNotUsedChannel2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is unbelievably easy and Indian did a great job engineering this. Flip up to levers and unplug the electrical then just lift and pull back. The entire top case comes off really easy. The only challenge is it’s a little heavy and awkward, so I usually get my wife to help me out with it. Lol. Side cases come off with one electrical plug and two hex head screws.

Hi Pat I watched this a while a go and accidentally played it in the car yesterday while travelling.The exhaust note is great what pipes are on the bike? I know the standard note is good on the Indians but this sounds a little louder than standard. Or is it just a better sound recording than usual. I like the Vance and Hines pipes but they have stoped make pipes for bikes! Watching from Australia thanks Ken.
@Pats2Wheels Жыл бұрын
Hey Ken, great question, it might just be the external microphone I'm using on the gopro because these are stock pipes. I tried using the aftermarket Indian pipes, but they were even louder than I liked, so I went back to stock. For me the stock pipes sound pretty good, and I ride a lot of miles per year on this bike (probably 12-15k miles) and sometimes will do a 12 hour riding day, so these just make it more pleasant. Cheers!

What is with that squeel? My ‘19 Roadmaster doesn’t have that at all. Is that something with the 116, some other part of the newer Indians, or just specific to that bike? Looks like a beautiful ride. Will get down there someday.
@Pats2Wheels Жыл бұрын
That’s the drive belt and my ‘18 Roadmaster did it as well. I’m not sure how many miles you have on your ‘19 but this is pretty common, although it won’t typically show up until you have more than 20k miles. The solution is to put a little Dawn soap on the edges of the belt, but I forgot to do that before this trip. Good catch!

@@Pats2Wheels Unfortunate that that is a common problem. (Haven’t gotten that high of mileage as I’ve only had one riding season with the bike - I’ve lived in Japan for last 3 years) Try clear deodorant (Old Spice)…Never needed it on a bike, but works much better in the car.

Nice...I have a 22 Roadmaster and it can lean way over without scraping. I saw your comments it ended up being the highway pegs which makes sense. What pipes are you running on your RM ?
@Pats2Wheels2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I just run the stock exhaust, I will change that at some point. Any recommendations?
@bbgmarine2 жыл бұрын
@@Pats2Wheels I thought they were not stock. They sound great to me. So does my 22 RM. One of the best sounding "Stock" pipes I've heard. Personally, I wouldn't change them.

@@Pats2Wheels I run cobra’s on my 2019 Roadmaster. Decated it as well got the stage 2 cams and high flow breather. The roll on power from 60 to 80 in top gear is great! Cobra’s sound awesome!
@Pats2Wheels2 жыл бұрын
Wow Johnny, was it a big jump in power? I've always wondered about doing the cams, I'm guessing it's a big investment.

I'm a NC man too, with a 21 RM DH my fender war bonnet doesn't light up. Did you mod that?
@Pats2Wheels2 жыл бұрын
Hey John, good hearing from you. Mine has lit up since buying it, and I did not modify it. Technically mine is a Roadmaster Classic, I don’t know if that matters or not. If yours should light up, maybe you can claim it as a warranty item?
