Day trip to Newnes Plateau - Lost Cities, Glowworm Tunnel and Blackfellows Hand Cave

I took a 5 day trip to the South West of the Wollomi National Park, with some family and a mate. This video is about a day trip we took to the Newnes Plateau and checked out 3 big ticket tiems people visit there. The amazing natural landscape known as the Lost Cities, a train tunnel chock full of glow worms, and a traditional meeting place for the local aboriginal peoples.

Yep I wanted to get to Lost City before the NSW government eco tourism stuff comes into play in the area and the potential to close it off to free access. Even if it remains 100% free access moving forward, just didnt want to take that chance. Well worth the visit.

The lost city is finally starting to get some greenery back from the fires they had there

100%, can still see the fire scars though, but nature has a wonderful way if repairing itself after a trauma like that savage bushfire that went through there.

Yeh I have heard much of the area around Lost Cities is closed. Not sure if for good, someone elsewhere has mentioned its for cleanup works from mining or the like, but who knows. Good news, gives you an excuse to go back later!
