My sweet sweet baby who is 14 years old is slowly slipping away. Loss of most of her vision, deaf, has to wear a diaper, gets lost in the house. I am already grieving. I have promised that I would love her and keep her until the end. And I will. And when it is time, when she can no longer enjoy being alive, I will hold her and tell her how lucky I have been to know and experience her. I will tell her story to others and to myself until I meet her again at the Rainbow Bridge. Love you, my dear Macy, now and forever.

I'm so sorry. It's such a terrible soul wrenching loss. But it sounds like u loved that deserving baby so much. Imagine had she ended up with someone who didn't live her that much? U did good mom. I said goodbye to my sweet girl who was a 16 year old flat coated retriever/border collie 2 years ago. She let me know when she was ready. I pray that you will know when it is time for Macy. God Bless You and bring you comfort when that time comes.

I’m so sorry. I have yet to lose a beloved pet on my own or watch my children go through it. It was always our childhood pets and my poor Dad was the one who had to make the tough calls. He had to take the dog I was closet to on my wedding day. I was devastated that I didn’t get to say goodbye to her. But he was so afraid to upset me during a happy time. My thoughts are with you. ❤😢

I can’t wait to get home to my animals when ever I have to leave during the day! They are my life and my peace! As long as I can care for an animal I will! I’m 64 and I’ve had 6 dogs two cats and 2 McCaws and loved them all as my children. You MUST take care of them once you make that commitment to bring them into your home there’s no going back so people must stop giving up their animals it’s not right and they don’t deserve the actual pain you put them through when you do this. Thank God for Lee taking on the animals humans have hurt!

I've lost two of my dogs this past year, and my third is my miracle soul dog, and he doesn't have long left... He had a heart attack, and was gone for 20mins, long enough for the vet to declare him dead... But he came back all on his own! The nurse noticed a pulse whilst they were doing the paperwork! It's been over a year now since the heart attack, and every day is a miracle, the vets can't explain how he's alive with the amount of damage his heart has. He has a bit of brain damage, he's slow of mind and body, an old man at just 8yrs... but he is LOVE personified, and gets so much joy from just being with me, and still loves to swim in the river. God has a plan for him, and I'm SO GRATEFUL for it! I wish I could show you a pic, you'd all love him. He's a shepard x husky that looks like a wolf with blue eyes that I rescued from starvation and abuse in Cyprus.

Nothing in my life has been more important to me than animals. Of course I love my family, but I didn’t end up finding the right guy,so I have spent my life alone, but I worked for veterinary clinics and I have always had my own pets. Every loss you go through your dogs go through too. Maybe to a lesser degree with so many of them but they know. I've always had two dogs & when one of them got cancer my vet suggested I bring our other dog in so he could be there when Phoebe passed, to be able to 'say goodbye' and I made a BIG mistake and didn't listen and Harry grieved so hard. He had no idea why his sister went out one day and never came home. Lesson learned. It was a new experience for me, to see one of my babies depressed (wouldn't eat or get out of bed) and it broke my heart. They are SO lucky to have you Lee. You understand them so well. What a beautiful difference just one human can make.
