The Matsushima Park Festival is a music festival that aims to energize Matsushima by turning the diverse natural and historical landscape of Matsushima into a stage for music, bringing people of all ages from inside and outside Miyagi Prefecture to Matsushima and creating new exchanges.
The Matsushima Coast Green Plaza and Matsushima Rikyu, the venue of the festival, used to be the Matsushima Park Hotel, a landmark of Matsushima for about half a century since the Taisho Era (1912-1926).
