This was probably a break-up song, but somehow it reminds me of my mum. I have always admired my mum when I was little and thought she was really beautiful in everything she does. She tucked me into sleep one night (like she always does) not knowing it will be the last time. I woke up next day, she was in an accident and was in coma, brain dead in the hospital. Had to say goodbye. She died when I was 10. Fast forward 2020 listening to this song, the face of my mum flashed back my memories and hit really hard to my heart it was painful, but it reminded me of how beautiful she was, how good of a mum she was even though it was short while. Just when my memories of her fades, this song somehow painted her back clearly in my brain. Its bittersweet. Thank you Day6.

But it ended up she blocked all of our number. I come to this song again because this is her favorite song from Day6. I remember her everytime I hear Day6 songs or even just their name. I want Day6 run for longer time so she has another reason to alive and feel happy even without me. I love her until now but I think it's fine for two of us to separated. Just like she said that she will never watch her favorite movie for second time. I didn't understand at first but now I know, because she is my favorite movie.

Ah, I'm crying. Congratulations hit me hard, this was worse. I watched Congratulations and then spent a good 30 minutes to an hour trying to find this video and getting frustrated until I finally did. Wow, I wonder how she feels after that. Like, they had such a beautiful relationship till she got tired of it, tears. Now she's watching their memories on play back and is starting to think (my opinion) "we had something so beautiful, but time moves on, and I wonder why this still hurts a little". I also realized watching this that she feels guilty for what she did, and even if she wanted him back he wouldn't come back, and that she's realized that she can't change what she did, but she can accept the forgiveness that he gave, or will give. This song hits way too close to home for me. I once went out with a really nice girl in college. We met online and started "dating" for a while, but we both recognized that we were both in it since we didn't want something serious at that time yet. She was the perfect woman: smart, kind, fun, and just overall the most beautiful human being. We both liked the same things, even stanning Day6 was something we had in common. It felt like we were living in our own weird world, just being... us. Time passed, and we both got busy in our last few semesters in college. One by one, the days wherein we didn't talk to each other turned into weeks, and before we knew it, we were so caught up with crossing the finish line that everything just faded out. We both eventually got jobs and got occupied with a lot of things. I never got the chance to tell her what I felt for her all this time: that she was, and will always be, my first love. That I wish I could bring back everything we had in this moment, just so I could tell her how beautiful she is to me. I missed the shot, simply because I didn't take it. I think she has moved on now; she's with somebody great, and I'm genuinely happy that she finally found someone she could share her life with. From time to time, I look back to what we had together. It's nice to think that even when it has passed, love has some way to make it seem eternally beautiful. Maybe it's the unsaid words, maybe it's the what-ifs. But for me, when it's real, it just is.. beautiful. In an everlasting way. Thank you Day6 for this song. With it, I feel like I could sing the heartache and the memories away. A beautiful melody, for a beautiful memory.

SHUT UP, I JUST REALIZED THAT THIS SONG IS THE CONTINUOUS OF CONGRATULATIONS. Congratulations was about a breakup based on the boy's point of view, it made the girl look so bad because when they had a break on their relationship she supposedly "found someone better" than her current or what used to be her boyfriend. In the MV itself, you can see that when she's seeing someone else, she looked like she didn't care about the ex's feeling, the boy was obviously pissed but he then forgives himself for thinking it was his fault that their relationship didn't work in the end. You Were Beautiful was about the girl's side of the story, in this MV you could see that the same actress in the Congratulations was given the same role. Anyway, the clips you can find here are mostly about her beautiful memories with someone she deeply loved. I thought that it was the new boyfriend she had, but it turns out it was with her one and only ex. Now we don't know if she broke up with her new boyfriend or not, but if she did, she probably regretted breaking up with her long lost ex. Her breakup with the new boyfriend might be because she felt that she's not as happy as to when she was still in a relationship with her ex. She knew that she's still in love with him, but sadly she knew that until her relationship with the new boyfriend was "boring". But she then realized that it was already to late, her ex is probably seeing someone else. My sister passed away recently. Listening to this song, I thought this describes how much I long for her. The lyrics suits her perfectly. She was the most beautiful person I've ever known. I'm really thankful that she is my sister, her 19 years of life may not seem enough but I'm truly thankful that she gave her love to us and that we saw how much she grew as a person.
