Would die for the coldness of my mountains Would die for the coldness of my dear mountains Die for the coldness of my dear mountains, die for the coldness of my dear mountains; Would die for the loftiness of my dear, Die for the loftiness of my dear, die for the loftiness of my dear, One year passed as I haven’t seen him, Would die for the one who has seen him. The rivers stopped flowing, stopped flowing, stopped flowing, Their waters do not bring any news about my dear, Any news about my dear, any news about my dear, What if my heart would become cold, Unless you inflame it with your love. Stand halted, cannot walk, cannot walk, Cannot drop any tear for him, any tear for him, any tear; One year passed as I haven’t seen him, Would die for the one who has seen him, My dear is always in my heart, But won’t tell his name.

Gorgeous! BUT, the music is NOT supposed to sound Arabic. It should be played in its original Armenian style. The instruments & the way they play it, makes it sound like some kind of belly dancing Arabic music. That's not how Armenian music sounds. It's all wrong.

Hello Belilu Belilu. Thank you for your comment. However, we believe that music is never "supposed" to sound "like this" or "like that". We play christian songs with "arabic" instruments, we play sufi songs with swedish instruments, we play sacred songs, we play profane songs... that is just the way we do it. And that's what people like about our music: the understanding that music goes way beyond borders and bounderies, the feeling that it's one of the best ways to outstrip nationalism and racism. The music we play, and the way we play it...is all about peace, and simplicity. No flags, no comparisons. Music is beautiful. Everywhere. And it's even more beautiful when it's mixed, melted, when it helps people and cultures to look at each other and realise we're all the same, in the end. Just humans. I can understand that you'd prefer to listen to this song in a traditional armenian style (there are plenty of versions available if you want!), but I don't understand, and I don't accept either, that you tell us that it "should be played" like this, or that "it's all wrong". It's not. Nothing's wrong in music. You may not like it, but it's your point of view, not the holly truth. I hope one day you'll experience the simplicity and the beauty of people playing music together, regardless of their origins, styles, religions, ages.... I truly believe that humanity's future is there...or nowhere else.
