I haven't listened to your music lately, and a lot of your ambient tracks I've just kind of avoided, while I've round old songs like Radiocutter and Rivals hidden gems. But this song, it does hint at your old style a bit. I hear the Waterflame style, where you have a lot of random phrases and random voices... I like it. All of these random voices, THIS IS WATERFLAME. Oh wow, this is really catchy... I like it. HEY. THIS IS GREAT, I CAN HEAR YOUR OLD STYLE. NICEEEE. Not that your new styles bad... It's like a mix. Hello. This a little story that I thought of for this song. Enjoy! "DALIA! DALIA! DALIA!" was all that was coming from the crowd of people in the bleachers of starting gate. The legendary Wave Board Championship Race Finals were about to begin in the futuristic city of Tanahoe and the crowd was all for the reigning champion Dalia Wilson. Dalia, at the age of 27 had started out in the art of wave boarding five years ago, finishing 7th in her first championship race and 4th in her second. She then took home three championship trophies back-to-back-to-back and is looking to get her fourth coming. Also waiting at the starting gate is Dalia's protege, Thomas Labone Jr.. Thomas took up wave boarding as a hobby while he was a kid of the age of 10. He had lots of fun and became very passionate about the sport, but tragedy struck when his father lost his job when he was 16. While dealing with financial ruin, he met Dalia and managed to convince her to take him under her wing so he could join the International Wave Boarding Collective (aka IWBC) and earn money for his family and his future. He is now competing in his first championship race. Dalia looked to her right and saw Thomas two positions down the starting gate. She waved to him and he looked up and waved back. They had agreed before the finals to race to hold nothing back to the other rider the best challenge they can. The riders in the finals include: George Butcher (1st gate) Waldo Williams (2nd gate) Pam "Patty" Dellma (3rd gate) Dalia Wilson (4th gate) Ian O'Neal (5th gate) Thomas Labone Jr. (6th gate) Dora Docker (7th gate) Alice King (8th gate) Olive Barber (9th gate) Robert "Bobby" Johnson III (10th gate) The giant screen at the starting gate came on with the announcer screaming out "HELLO EVERYONE! HOW ARE YOU TONIGHT?!" The roar of the crowd was deafening to say the least. "THE LAST OF THE PREPARATIONS ARE COMPLETE! TIME TO GET THIS MASSIVE RACE UNDER WAY! TO THE COUNTDOWN!" Everyone in the crowd chimed in with the countdown. "5!" The racers got into a starting position. "4! 3!" The racers begin to brace for take-off. "2! 1!" The muscles of every racer tense up with the will to race to the finish. A moment of silence occurred only to be shattered in an instant. "GO!" Every racer launched themselves forward and flew down the first part of the race, the financial district. Tanahoe was known for having a very large financial district with the biggest queue of companies in the country. The race lead the riders through four of the biggest building in the city with winding roads, branching pathways and shortcuts at every turn. Right out of the gate Alice takes the lead with Dalia close behind. Coming upon the first turn, the riders split in half, five heading down the designated route while the other five traveled down a well-known shortcut. Dalia and Thomas traveled down the shortcut with Dora, Waldo, and Robert. Trashcans, cars, and lampposts provide obstacles for the riders to dodge about along with all of the turns of shortcut. Soon, the riders found the end of the shortcut and came out with the other five on exit at the exact same time. The riders then come upon the first building of race and plowed on through it. The building was empty and full to the brim with obstacles. Columns, chairs, and doors stood in the way of the riders. The positions of each rider didn't change as they approched the second building. The second and third building weren't very eventful with Dalia jumping to first and Alice dropping to fifth. Thomas, who started in ninth had jumped to sixth. The fourth building had a shortcut that all the riders took to attempt to get ahead. Thomas, Pam, and Ian all took a tumble while avoiding the columns in the hallways of the building. A bit beat up, Thomas got back up and continued on in last place. Dodging more obstacles, the riders soon jumped out of the back door of the building and pass the first checkpoint and the moon still high in the sky to lead into the second part of the race: The coast. Tanahoe is known for being a juggernaut when it came to the sea. Its port was home to the three largest trading companies in the world and they fought furiously with each other for customers. They happily provided obstacles for the race with crates and machines littered across the ports to slow down every rider in its path. The rider jumped and ducked across all the obstacles, but it wasn't enough for several riders with George and Olive crashing and suffering injuries. Even Dalia crash after failing to avoid a crate in time and broke her arm. Thomas, seeing this, stops and helps Dalia to her and on her board. "Thanks Thomas." Says Dalia. "Your welcome, Master." replies Thomas as he and Dalia continue on. The coast prove to be difficult, but not impossible for the riders as everyone flies through the second checkpoint with the sun starting to rise up from its slumber. Dora now sits in first place while Ian and Waldo fight for second place and Pam sits in third. The final part of the race is on and it is the toughest part yet. The dreaded downtown area. Every city has its bad place and Tanahoe is no different. The downtown area of Tanahoe is riddled with crime and poverty. The local government has tried to fix up the area, but progress is slow to date. With cars everywhere, actual people out on the street with known knowledge of the race coming through, and all manners of obstacles in the way, the riders have to be on their toes to hit the finish line. Things start off bad with half the riders crashing and dropping in the rankings. Things down improve with the first place ranking change riders every ten seconds with Dalia, Thomas, Dora, and Ian fighting to grab it. Dora drops behind after crashing into a lamppost with the break of daylight blinding her. Ian drops after a misunderstanding with a pedestrian lead to him having to slow down to avoid a deadly crash. Dalia and Thomas were the only riders left to fight for the first place rank and the win that came with it. Dalia pulls ahead first only to have Thomas catch up to her lead. Then Thomas pulls ahead only for Dalia to close the gap. The crowd of viewers is on the edge of their seats with how close the end of the race is. Who will win? Who will be crowned the next Wave Boarding World Champion!?! The crowd is in an absolute frenzy of sound as the winners stand on the podium and receive their trophies and prizes. Ian stands on the lowest podium and receives the smallest trophy and prize in 3rd place. The audience roars in celebration as Dalia receives her trophy and prize for 2nd place, her first one in her career. As Thomas, who is crying with emotion from winning, receives his trophy and prize, the audience positively riots with excitement. Dalia looks over to her protege and congratulates him and his first championship win by saying "You are now a master in your own right." Thank you for reading and feel free to leave a comment on the story!
yooooo, loving the visuals dude! glad to see you putting just as much effort into those as the music, awesome job waterflame!

Whenever you mention "Old Style " It really does excite me as all your songs within this old style in it are easily my favourites. Favourite in the entire genre of electro music really; havn't found a single peice of music from another artist that fits the electro genre that I actually like as much. I have to say, that was really damn impressive at 0:40. How the hell did you pull that transition off so well? Oh; and I'm quite late to comment. Saw this on the first day but was too busy catching up with all your music + listening to all of them :P
@WaterflameMusic6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! That's awesome :) And haha funny you should mention that transition, it took me hours to get right. Songs like these take tremendous time and effort because every single instrument has to play their part, nothing really goes on loop. And the transitions are usually what takes the most time, so its cool when its noticed. :)
