@@bailee6545 I think you'll find that actually no horse needs a martingale. The minute you ride them the way they like they are perfectly fine. I reckon Finn would be ok without one soon. Sophie rides him so well but I think that it makes Sophie feel better and that's fine! Storm definitely doesn't need one, because Gabby rides him beautifully.

I wonder who ever realised that leaving the forelock braided over night gives horses a headache. Wow Sophie looked good in the warm up, she was flying!

With my mare, she doesn’t like her forelock up cuz if she flicks her head she likes the feeling of her mane 😂 (and she flicks flys with her forlock if there on her face ) that’s why I never braid it for shows

Waking up to go to a horse show at 4:00am is the best feeling in the world. The lights from the car in the night and the cold. Only equestrians know that feeling. It’s truly the best Edit: and of course the fog while grooming and tacking up at the trailer at the show

I think I jumped that practice fence with Sophie. I love how calm Sophie was, Finn’s canter in the warm up was amazing, Sophie that’s amazing you go girl believe and achieve your dreams GO TEAM FINN 🤩😍 can’t wait for the rest of the show vlogs

We have hack in Australia but we call it 'Show Hack' but its not like how you guys do it, ours is very dressage based were we all ride in a circle around a judge walk, trot and canter and then we get called in to do a work out pattern individually that gets judged! it fun but also feels more like a beauty pagan for horses!

I got kicked in the head today (luckily I hadn’t taken my helmet off yet after my ride so I don’t have any major injuries) so this is just a friendly reminder that anything can happen when your around horses no matter how careful you are and how well you know your horse stay safe❤️

Hey Sophie! I'm not your trainer so completely ignore this advice if you want but something I've noticed that you've been doing for a while now is getting all hunched up. This is something you very much want to avoid especially with a horse like Finn who can get quick sometimes. What I mean is when you get into your light seat you tend to lose your core strength and fall forward. This is a huge no no when jumping. I think you and Finn would progress amazingly if you worked on opening up your chest and pushing your shoulders back. When coming to a jump don't be afraid to sit back quiet your seat and tell him to stop getting so quick. A hunter judge would much rather see you riding to what your horse needs then just staying perched up there. You did really good at the show! I can't wait to see your progression with Finn in the coming years!

Gabby and Sophie remind me of me and m sister m sister was always more experienced with shows unlike the two girls. m sister would braid, help me wash, and help me get all tough stains off and was always so supportive! she's not into horses anymore and doesn't show or ride but still takes off work to help me and watch me!!!!!!!

I never really realized why Sophie was always so scared to jump until the other day when I got thrown off my horse at a show. I got back on and tried my best to be confident but now I’m really scared to jump that horse again. I always admired how Sophie got right back on Finn every time she fell off but now I admire it even more and I am so proud of her for trying her hardest every time she rides to do something huge and get her confidence up more and more. Good job Sophie!!!

Each show or lesson your confidence crows and crows, and I'm so happy to see the semi.e and love of roding back on your face. Gabby, Holy Hannah!! InTact joyride brilliantly! And as you said yourself at the end of the video, you know what you have twerk on with Chino. More jumps, more grid work, more gymnastic work. He is a little lazy with his right front leg. Meaning he doesn't snap it up cleanly like he does his left front. His hind legs plant themselves well for take off, so ring gymnastic exercises with him would teach him to snap up both his front legs at the same time. Ask Brandon about doing some of this with Chino. You rode Storm and Chino very, very well. Obviously, by getting the Championship Ribbon and all the goo!is. Well done, young lady!!
