Because I have been watching this series over again I am picking up things that i didn’t quite see before. The time when Polen tells Can that she has decided to stay and he told her that he didn’t mind so long as she knew that he wasn’t going to change his mind about the split. Before that Polen sees that Sanem is the woman that Can is after, so she begins to scheme and begins treating Can like they are still a couple specifically in front of Sanem doing everything to show Sanem that her and Can are still together. The fact that Can sees Polen being lovey dovey with him especially in front of Sanem and doesn’t do anything about it and even at one stage accusing Sanem of being jealous of Polen makes me think that Sanem should have left them to it and did her own thing. Because Can should’ve known that Polen’s behaviour was off and did something about it if he was truly trying to win Sanem’s love. The fact that he thought Sanem would like being friends with Polen was pathetic!! 😏🙄 And the fact that he could see that Polen was being a real bitch to Sanem and didn’t do anything about it is shocking!! What a dick!! In these scenes I really wished Sanem character was stronger and showed Can she wasn’t going to put up with crap like that and got on with her life. Just going to work to do her job and then enjoying life with her friends and not having anything to do with Can and the fake as women around him. I would’ve loved to have seen a scene of Sanem with friends - Ayan, Osman, Leyla and including Sinan and some of her other high school friends - having a night out on the town to show the contrast between her Circle of friends and Can’s circle of friends and therefore showing the difference within the two cultures. The freedom that Sanem’s circle has because they are not bound to fame and fortune in the same way as those in Can’s circle are as shown through various characters like, Huma, Polen, Aylin, Emre, Ceyda and the likes.
