After reading a lot of comments all criticizing Sanems character on this series that i stumbled upon. I have to mention that as a more senior female who has lived many life experiences. The character that Devet plays is a young woman.....inexperienced naive heavily protected by domineering parents who are determined that their daughters abide by old traditions & rules. Going from a humble grocery store into the corporate world where she is immediately preyed upon by greedy devious snakes like Emre. She was an obvious target for manipulation. Lets also point out that Can is older than her & travelled the world so naturally Sanem appears child like. After watching all 161 episodes Sanem blossoms into a tough talented woman who lives her man & would do anything for him and through all of it still has to deal with her impossible parents and many other obstacles. This would be the first Turkish drama i have watched & one of the best be it Australian, English or other. Its good because it covers all aspects of life good & bad. My congratulations to creators directors and of course the actors. ❤

I agree with most of your feedback, but Sanem character has been made like most turkish series where they make the main girl very cringe worthy and frustrating to watch. Not a good look for women and her parents for her culture are one of the best you can get. They want the best for their daughter daughters, and they're super fun. Can is a perfect gentleman and needs a mature woman and not a silly, unexperienced girl.

@heatheryoung2712 You might enjoy watching another series, titled .. " Bride of instanbul" ! It's so good ! I couldn't sleep because I couldn't stop watching ! There are 301 episodes!! But not a dull scene in the entire series . It will have you up laughing ,crying , .. and If you're anything like me , You'll be screaming at your screen 😂

Just because Can is a gentleman , does not make him perfect . he has flaws ,as well . he has a hard time forgiving people and I understand why . however.. sanem is the way she is because she's been so sheltered, she's new to love and everything she's experiencing. I do agree it makes her appear.. Young , silly ,and sometimes childlike. I feel embarrassed for her in too many scenes

Dealing with Sanem can be quite frustrating at times. I have a deep affection for her, but her handling of Can's emotions leaves much to be desired. I sincerely hope she eventually comes clean about her role as the 'spy,' as I'm growing impatient with prolonged storylines where nothing seems to be resolved for many episodes. On a different note, I'm gradually warming up to Deren. She used to irritate me tremendously earlier in the show, but now that she's slowly accepting Sanem, I'm finding her more likable. It's evident that she still has feelings for Can, but she needs to move on quickly. Can's heart clearly belongs to Sanem, even though she's the one pushing him away.

I manage to listen to one an interview between Can and Demert she said, she only concentrate on Can eyes before she could successfully achieve her role in the movie. To my own understanding her role brought out the chemistry between her and Can.
