now THIS is a real tutorial. I am sick of people just recording their screens while they do things without explaining WHAT, HOW and WHY they are doing what they are doing. Thank you!

You're very welcome! Be warned tho, some of my older videos were just recorded with no voiceover (I did use text labels tho) 😅
@AFStudio24 жыл бұрын
Hahaha that's okay bro😁.. I think those tutorials that just recording their screens is for advanced learners, where they just need to see how it is being done in order to learn. There are people who are literally visual learner where they just need to see the process. Me, when I was a beginner I just want to see the process so I can learn even without explaining. So I also enjoyed recorded screens before. And now in my channel that is also my content, workflow videos for advanced learners.. I just recording my process from start to finish 😁 you can check it out 😁

@@Ravenors.academy do you make tutorials on Vray How do you feel, are tutorial channel growing on KZbin
@Ravenors.academy3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I make tutorials on Sketchup, VRay, and a few other smaller ones. And yes, tutorial channels grow well organically but they would grow even faster with ads :) I never tried ads, been doing this organically since I started (website in Dec 2014 and channel in Nov 2019).

10:13 Hi, how do i can used the guide compare before & after like that? is there any setting or how to do that? thanks
@Ravenors.academy3 жыл бұрын
You have to enable History in your Frame Buffer for this to work :) enabling AB comparison depends on your VRay version tho.

Thanks for the tutorial! I try to apply a bitmap background in the environment setting but when i render my background is black. It make me feel that the image isn't render. Can you have a clue about this problem?
@Ravenors.academy3 жыл бұрын
You're very welcome :) How about you send me a screenshot of one of those renders + your environment settings so I can take a look? Message me on either Facebook, Instagram, or Discord. The links are in the description below the video :)

As usual this is a very informative video. I like the clear and easy to understand explanations of the settings, what does each setting do. I am not sure what you ment by window pane distortion 18:08. I had distortion when looking through the glass of a window in a few of my scenes. Making sure all sides of the pane had the same glass material and sometimes reversing faces solved the problem. Instead of a rectangle light next to the side window in the corner, I had put a portal light in front of the window to enhance realism. Keep up the good work :) .
@Ravenors.academy4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! It's great to gave you here :) What I meant by window pane distortion wasn't about how the material is set, but by the reflection and refraction values of the environment light; it can cause the image used as a background to look either zoomed in/out or look dull and dark. Sorry if I didn'tget the point accross more clearly!

Awsome tutorial!! Can you also make a tutorial about how to set a scene, especially how yo view in your viewport your render size? Just as in your video. Those darker lines in the viewport are areas which don’t appear in the rendered imagine, i suppose. I can’t seem to find anywhere an info about this matter. Thank you in advance!
@Ravenors.academy4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I already have a 3 video series on different camera setup types, here's a link to the first video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJq3daGrrpiChpo Yes true, these blackish bars are called the Safe Frame; what's between these two bars is what will show during a render. Good luck :)

Nope, unless you made the Dome light texture invisible :)

Hi, this is very informative video!! I have one question though, how did you exclude the glass from material override in the scene?
@Ravenors.academy3 жыл бұрын
In the Glass material options tab, scroll to the very bottom. There should be an option thay says 'Can be Overridden', un-tick it and you're good to go :) It works on any type of material you want to be excluded from the override, so get creative ;)

Hi! This video is amazing, thank you for your time and effort :) apart from lighting, I’m curious as to how you did the floor tiles. Could you explain the process?
@Ravenors.academy3 жыл бұрын
It's actually pretty simple! You draw the pattern on the floor surface and then add two different materials in the pattern :) I went a step further and created the tile pattern as 3D components (2 mm thick) next to each other, to add more realism.

Depends on what type of projects you work on, your budget, and whether you prefer to render CPU or GPU. For example I render CPU so my Processor is 2.8 overclocked to give a 3.2 GHz, RAM is 16 Gb, and my Gfx Card is an AMD with only 2 Gb dedicated RAM.
