Got to say i lived in Foleshill in 1980 -84 it was a shithole then and looks like its no better now

Even if the local council removed half the pavement to make more parking some people would still park on the pavement because they are ignorant and laugh and gang up on traffic wardens and the police do nothing as there is no real laws broken that warrants their time .

It's very sad to see. Im afraid the only option left is to leave the area as I will do so within the next year but not many people have that option. Foleshill seems to be the dumping area of coventry now.

The truth is the Romanians have ruined Foleshill Road. The parking issues and anti-social behaviour is mostly caused by them. However, no one really wants to say it publicly due to being branded a "racist" towards them. The Council and Traffic Wardens can only do so much and a lack of money invested in the area such as more CCTV and wardens patroling the area. Having bollards installed by both sides of the pavement may be a better long term solution to stop the parking on the pavement,but again will cost money. Trying to educate these people will be very difficult as a lot of them do not speak much english and do not seem to want to learn either. The Romainian population is increasing day by day around the area and as mentioned it does not appear safe to even walk around the main part of Foleshill Road anymore. It has got to the stage where a lot of the local people are fed up and have or are planning to move out from the area.
