If you want to live out your fantasies as Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead, give this game a shot.
An impressive and atmospheric game world to explore. Side activities are relatively fun although just a little bit repetitive. Riding and upgrading your bike has a certain charm to it and makes the somewhat repetitive tasks required worth it. Overall a really immersive game, I'd recommend it to anyone interested in the zombie apocalypse trope.

The atmosphere...the music..the graphics....the weather system...the hordes...the melee weapons and upgrades/skills/ ability to repair melee weapons and craft them and fix your bike ...and the motorcycle was amazing....not perfect but a solid 8/10 and unlimited replayability imo....my first platinum and I've played it multiple times on each difficulty and beat it....I am obsessed with Days Gone....

Played this on PS4 several years ago. I knew it would always be a cult classic. Riding the motorbike was just so much fun, I never once used fast travel - even when cleaning-up for the platinum. I've now got a PS5 Pro and will definitely play it again. They must remaster it, and they must build DG2.

This game is a masterpiece in its own way, and perhaps the second best zombie survival game ever made. TLoU being the best of course. Anyways, what I love most about this game is the challenge. The game drops you into the deep end, then adds sharks, and expects you to figure out how to survive. Very little hand holding, massive amount of challenge. And I just love that. A game world that can actually kill me, a veteran gamer. other things to love is the great atmosphere, and the visual design that is top notch at all times. Sure, the main hero looks bit clueless, he could've looked edgier, but that's basically my only complain. Well, ok, the way melee weapons break way too easily is issue too, bit more durable weapons would've allowed you to beat whole groups of zombies with one bat, making for funnier game. Sure, you can put skills into melee, which adds bit durability, but from experience I can tell it does not help that much, and those points are better spent on ranged skills, especially given the missions later on in the game, where shooting is the key.

The game is great, but it unfolds pretty slow, you need to play at least 3-5 hours to get "full potential".

For me Tlou was so boring and linear. It almost felt like a puzzle or escape room. I enjoyed Days gone way more than tlou.

What annoys me about the no go for a sequel was that Sony was pumping hundreds of millions into Concorde, the game nobody wanted. Bend are a great studio, the PS Vita uncharted game is one of the best Uncharted games. Days Gone is masterpiece (the reviews never gave the game the time if required) I hope the new IP is good and that they then get the Go Ahead for DG2 as even after many many play throughs I still return every few months for another play of the best post apoplectic game created. We know Bend have the story we just need them to create the game we need to give us the answers to the cliff hanger ending ( there are a hidden clips that can be revealed),

I absolutely love this game! The story, the world, the combat, it's one of my favourites. The soundtrack was also beautifully done. Also one of my favourite photo modes along with RDR2 and Ghost of Tsushima.

The critics put people off buying this game. I was one of them. I finally decided to give it a go 2 years after release. The critics were wrong, this is a brilliant game. It just boils down to taste really. I purchased Ghost of Tsushima on release, also God of War and hated them, only getting through a fraction of the story before selling them on yet these titles were praised highly.There are many people like myself who got into it late on and love it. Let’s hope we get a sequel.

First game i downloaded when i got my new pc, it was and still is fantastic, the game is amazingly optimized for those amazing graphics which is something modern day devs just dont focus on anymore, i’d go as far as to say that i enjoy the open world in this game almost as much as skyrim.

whats crazy is i wanted to luv days gone on ps4. been over zombiods since left 4 dead 2 but the idea of days gone seemed perfect to me but on ps4 it wasn't hitting. then later on with the ps5 it ran a locked 60 and it instantly became one of my favorite games this generation. with it running at 60 it felt and played absolutely magnificent. luv it now.

When I first picked up the game years ago I didn't really like it. Didn't get far and just left it alone. However, last year I was bored cause there was no interesting games out so I put Days Gone on and gave it a second chance. I'm glad I did because I love this game now. Working on my 3rd playthrough at the moment. Definitely want a sequel for it.

Simply too good not to have a sequel eventually. I just hope they don't try to reinvent the wheel. I want more of the same. If you have to change something, add more upgrades, and variety for the bikes and weaponry. There should still be be upgrades available when I finish the game. Bring on the next chapter, of this story, I thoroughly enjoyed the first!

LOVED Days Gone. Granted I didn't play it until it got the ps5 treatment and it was one of the 20 games they "gave" out. Regardless though I got hooked into the game and it ended up being the first game that I got the platinum trophy in. Such an amazing game that more people need to give a chance.

I played the game recently on PC. Couple years ago or so. I love the idea of the game but the big problem in it is the gunplay, they just aren’t satisfying enough to keep me playing. Also, way too much handholding. I love the fact that the protagonist speaks to himself all the time. The game can be very immersive but the gameplay is a lackluster because it is not doing anything innovative. The big hordes are awesome though.
