I love the discussion about goals that make you write more hours vs the same hours but more rushed! I've experimented a lot with time-based writing goals and I found myself having the opposite problem - a too-large time-based goal could sometimes make me write slower, cause the slower I write the longer I can write for, right? 🙈 I haven't mastered the art of goal-setting yet, but we're working on it 🍵

I started using TrackBear at the start of October, playing around, getting to know the interface. I didn't use it much through November because I was using a dedicated tracker for the writing challenge I was participating in (Heart Breathings' Rough Draft Challenge). But it was dedicated to just November, so I'm back to trying TrackBear. I don't know if I would participate in a leaderboard, tbh; just because I don't think I would be keeping track as much as might be required... I'm fuzzy on how those boards work too. LOL Doesn't mean I wouldn't join yours, I totally would!

how do you write so fast and follow everything through without hangups or wanting to completely rework it? i feel like i always get really bogged down through the process either by writing a lot of prose and then realizing there's a logical inconsistency or the plot isn't exciting me anymore, or i plot too excessively and then the writing process isn't enjoyable
