I was working as a Security Guard at a construction site, of a Sevenson Construction company, Niagara Falls, New York, and via the internet I heard a conversation between Chuck Missler and Hal Lindsay. It was illuminating to say the least!! I didn't realize that they were friends until then. At one point, one said to the other, something about people's complacency is turning into fear for many. I realized the moment that I heard that statement made, how unfortunately true this is, especially for the unredeemed and/are unbiblical. However, the far greater and far more important truth, is the Biblically described significance of, "fear not those who can only kill your body but not your soul. Rather, fear the Lord who can kill your body and damn your soul to hell." As the Bible clearly specifies, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." Amen.

Job Part 2 Job is a priestly intercessor. In Job 1:5 what Job was doing has a lot of details most people are not aware of. One detail is that Job is head of the household, so it is his responsibility to be the priestly intercessor. Job is before Moses, so there is no Levitical preisthood, the tabernacle, the temple, the law of Moses, etc. Second with Job is that Job is in the patriarchal times. Patriarchs offered sacrifices to God. Other Patriarchs were Noah and Abraham. Third Job sanctified them as Job 1:5 says. Sanctify means set apart as or declare holy; consecrate. Sounds like the works of God, even pointing to the Cross. The fourth detail will explain more. The fourth detail is the most important. The Fourth detail is in comparison to Christ Jesus. Using figurative language Job is head of the his household (body) and is responsible to offer a sacrifice (burnt offering) to God, and in similar manner Jesus is head of the church (body), because of the sacrifice Jesus made on the Cross. Colossians 1:17,18 “ And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Ephesians 5:2 “And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Jesus and burnt offerings are a sweet-smelling aromana to God. Paul even compares Jesus to burnt offerings. Job is in a role of being a priest, in similar manner Jesus is our High Priest. Hebrews 4:14 “ Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Job is also in a role of interceding for his household with a burnt offering, in similar manner Jesus intercedes for the believer. Romans 8:34 “ Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” Notice when Jesus ascended to the God the father, in similar manner the burnt offerings would ascend up to God the Father. Sure sounds like intercession. This is how the “sons of God” presented themselves before God in Job 1:6. The same would be with Noah in Genesis 5:32. Genesis 5:32 "And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth." Noah is a Patriarch and head of the household. Noah is also a priestly intercessor. Genesis 5:32 is right before Genesis 6:2 and Genesis 6:4. To find Noah's burnt offerings is found in Genesis 8:20,21. Genesis 8:20,21 "Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. How would have Noah know about a burnt offering? Probably because of his father. In Genesis 5 is a list of father and son, mentioned many times. These burnt offerings probably started with Abel. Genesis 4:4 " "Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering," Another term for a young sheep is a LAMB. Picture of Jesus. Since Cain murdered Abel, Seth stept in the place of Abel for presenting these burnt offerings to God. Genesis 4;25,26 "And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” 26 And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the Lord. Notice in verse 26, it says men began to call on the name of the Lord. The only way to God would have been a burnt offering. Now we get to Genesis 5 with father and son all the way to Noah and his sons. A list of Patriarchs and priestly intercessors. Angels never gave burnt offerings, never were head of a household, never were priestly intercessors and never were the "sons of God" in Genesis 6:2,4 and in Job 1:6, Job 2:1 and Job 38:7 like many are lead to be.

Chuck also mentions sons of God as angels in the book of Job as well. The sons of God have to do with burnt offerings. Job 1:5, "sons of God" presented burnt offerings to God. Job 1: 5 and 6 “So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly. 6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.” Job 2:1 “Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. Notice how this is written with describing Satan in Job 1:6 and then Job 2:1. In Job 1:6 Satan shows up ("came among them") and NOT PRESENTING, but the difference in Job 2:1 with Satan is that he is now PRESENTING. In Job 2:1 what is Satan presenting? What Satan is presenting is found in the previous chapter, Job 1:12-19. God allowed Satan to test Job is found in Job 1:12 “ And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD. Job 1:13-19 explains how Satan is TESTING Job. Job is losing his property and children, so when a person asks in Job 2:1, what is Satan presenting? The previous chapter and verses describe how Satan presented himself. Satan's presentation to God is how he TESTED Job. Also in Job chapter 2 Satan is still allowed to test Job in the following verses. The same logic would apply with the “sons of God” and how they PRESENTED themselves to God. As a person reads in using Job 1:5 and 6 together it is clear that the “sons of God” presented themselves with Burnt Offerings hence forth “bene Elohim”. So many ignore Burnt Offerings and misuse the Hebrew “bene Elohim.” Job 1:5 and 6 are in context. To be a “son of God” you need to be SANCTIFIED (made righteous) in God’s sight, that is what the Burnt offering provide for man in that time period. This time period is before Jesus came into the world. Burnt Offerings ascended directly to God into the Heavenly realm from the alter on the earth. Job 1:5 “So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. Synonyms for Sanctify are purify · cleanse · free from sin · absolve · unburden · redeem. Job 1:5 is the previous verse before Job 1:6, where it mentions “sons of God”. So it is very obvious that the “sons of God” are human, not angels or rebellious fallen angels. Angels are not sanctified or presented Burnt Offerings to God. Many, Christians never apply Burnt Offerings to who the “sons of God” are. Burnt Offerings is how God provided a way for man to be righteous in God’s sight to be a “son of God”. Burnt Offerings were also a form of worship towards God by man. Burnt Offerings are actually a foreshadowing of Jesus and what He did on the Cross for sinful man. Burnt offerings provided atonement for the sinful condition before a Holy God. When Jesus went the Cross, His sacrifice superseded the OT burnt offerings. The New Covenant is in the shed Blood of Jesus, that he poured out on the Cross. No need for animal sacrifices and burnt offerings any more. The burnt offerings are just a foreshadowing of what was to come, and that would be what Jesus's sacrifice on the Cross. The Old Testament is full of foreshadowing's of Jesus. Isaiah 53 is a good one.

Mr. Chuck Missler is way off when he speaks about Numbers 13 and Nephilim. Chuck is just spreading a lie like Numbers 13 says. NUMBERS 13 and 14 The word Nephilim appears Twice in the Bible depending on the translation first in Genesis 6:4 and then Numbers 13:33. The word Nephilim is a Hebrew word, when translated in English it means Giant. Strong's Concordance for Nephilim is H5303 and is derived from the word Nephal is H5307. Nephilim definition is "giants," name of two peoples, one before the flood and one after the flood. Nephilim, a Hebrew word meaning 'those who have fallen' or 'the fallen ones', translated into Greek as gigantez, gigantes, or 'giants' >>>>earth born Looking at Numbers and the correct explanation Numbers 13: 31-33 “ But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” What these spies did is found verse 32. These spies gave Israel a “bad” report. The word “bad” can also be translated as “evil” in other translations. The point is the word “bad”. The word bad means poor in quality, not correct, inaccurate, incorrect, faulty, mischievous, poor, ect. The word "evil" means morally wrong or bad,immoral, wicked, harm, mischief, cause harm. Basicly the spies LIED about the report they gave, meaning that they lied about Anak’s decencendants being Giants (Nephilim) and that they ( the spies) looked like grasshoppers. It is a false and inaccurate report. There is no giants or nephilim like some are lead to believe. This evil or bad report the spies told, made Israel complain and murmur against God, because the report put fear in Israel and made Israel not wanting to go into the Promised Land, this made God upset and slandered God. What did God do with the spies that gave this bad report or false report, it is found in Numbers 14:36 and 37. Numbers 14:36,37 “ Now the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned and made all the congregation complain against him by bringing a bad report of the land, 37 those very men who brought the evil report about the land, died by the plague before the LORD.” The “bad” or “evil” report meaning false, the LORD struck them down with a plague. The spies Lied about the report. There were NO GIANTS. Satan's seed of Lying was in these spies. Notice in verse 36 "bad report" and in verse 37 "evil report" is used so this wickedness and malicious of the spies is really emphasized. Some translations instead of using "bad report" or "evil report" use "spreading false rumors". The KJV uses the word "slander". Even using Numbers 14:6-9 Caleb and Joshua were among those that spied on the land. They gave a good report saying the land flowed with milk and honey. Caleb and Joshua said NOTHING about Giants (Nephilim). God spared Caleb and Joshua, they were not struck down by a plaque. The spies that told an evil report were telling a lie and did not want to go into the land. Most people do not realize or take notice to Numbers 14. Interesting when most people use Numbers 13:33 for this angel view for the Giants (Nephilim) and looked like grasshoppers are falling into the faults of the report the spies told. The report the spies told is misleading. Most people do not take notice to the rest of the scripture. How the spies used the word giant in verse 33 would be bullies or tyrants, but the bad report or to say the lie they told about these Giants (Nephilim) NEVER existed. Caleb and Joshua never gave a report like that, and Caleb and Joshua were with the spies. The use of the word Giants/Nephilim in Numbers 13:33 would mean bullies or tyrants, but since this is a misleading report that the spies gave would be under FALSE PRETENSES.

NOTICE the NKJV translations uses the word GIANTS (Greek) in Genesis 6:4.Other Bible translations that use "GIANTS" are the KJV, MSG, JUB 2000, GNV 1599, DRA 1899, 1611 KJV and other Bible translations no need to mention. NOTICE in Genesis 6:4 and the NIV translation uses the word NEPHILIM (Hebrew). Other Bible translations that use "NEPHILIM" are the ESV, MEV, AMP, NASB, RSV, ICB, NET, and other Bible translations no need to mention. With English speaking and writing language translation some Bibles will use the Greek or the Hebrew. In Genesis 6: 4 the Greek word "Giants" is used and in Hebrew it would be "Nephilim". It is plural use of the words (Giants/Nephilim), not singular use of the words (Giants/Nephilim). In verse 3 God said about man that his days shall be 120 years.Years is a theme in Genesis 5 the previous chapter.Years is emphasized over and over in Genesis 5 and is mentioned again in Genesis 6:3. In Genesis 6:4 the word Giants (Greek) is used. The word Giant (Greek) is primarily referring to YEARS. God NEVER mentions height in Genesis 6:3. When translated into Greek as gigantez, gigantes, or 'giants in Genesis 6:4. With using both Hebrew and Greek there is more than one meaning or use of the words Nephilim and Giants. There is a DOUBLE meaning, because of Hebrew and Greek or to say which language is used the Hebrew or the Greek. Now to explain the Nephilim (Hebrew) Nephilim, a Hebrew word meaning 'those who have fallen' or 'the fallen ones. Strong's Concordance for Nephilim (Hebrew) is H5303 and is derived from the word Nephal is H5307. Nephal is to fall, lie or cast down.Naphal is a Hebrew word.Using the Hebrew word Naphal which you get the Hebrew word Nephilim. Hebrew use is the Nephilim would fall (Naphal) to the ground like Job 1:20 mentions, so it would be in a state of worship, probably on their knees. In Genesis 6:4 the Nephilim (Hebrew) are in a position of worship or falling to the ground and worshiping. Man has twisted the meaning of the word and changed the meaning of the word "Nephilim" to some a giant form of hybrid. That is how deception works and many are mislead and deceived. By twisting and changing the word Nephilim which is a state of worship towards God,it is now a word that takes away the worship to God and how man worshiped and was presented before God in that day or time period. Man also mixes in the Greek word "GIANT" to make this sound believable with this giant hybrid. What Man has done done is remove what God says about years in verse 3 and ignore the giant life spans mentioned in Genesis chapter 5. Man has replaced Years and Giant life spans with height, no different how the Hebrew word Nephilim was replaced and was meant to be a Hebrew use of the word for worshiping God. When a person reads Genesis 6:4 using the words Giants (Greek) or Nephilim (Hebrew), the verse is pointing to Genesis chapter 5. Genesis 5 is a Genealogy line from Adam to Noah. Father and son are listed over and over. Genesis 5 is an OFFSPRING list. Genesis 5 is also the "sons of God". Genesis 6:2-4 "2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. 3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive[a] with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” 4 There were giants (nephilim) on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. The only way Noah would have known about a burnt offering is that his father would have presented burnt offerings to God. Noah's father was Lamech (Gen. 5: 28,29). Burnt offerings is how man worshiped God, how sin was dealt with and how God made man righteous in His sight. Burnt offerings was the relationship between God and man. The Hebrew "bene elohim" when translated is "sons of God" fits perfectly when a person apply's burnt offerings. Burnt offerings are a foreshadowing of what Jesus did on the Cross. Jesus dealt with SIN on the Cross, that is why believers of what Jesus did on the Cross are "sons of God" or to say children of God. Jesus sacrifice on the Cross supersedes the burnt offerings that were presented in the OT.

Matthew Can't really read what you wrote, hope this from your phone.. Well when it comes to Noah he had a drinking problem to ..And from Chuck's lecture he has, in my opinion gone mad, or is drunk. Be sober minded. Sorry old age gets to us all eventually. I think all this Neph-Elohim stuff is fiction. The bible authors tried to cover it up because there was an obvious attempt to de-mythicize the bible. And all this stuff about gods mating with humans is the foundation of Greek Mythology. That was the reason for non-canonization of other books being excluded from the Bible. Those who read ancient language see the influence of the later Hellenistic influence on the bible scriptures and the redactions or revising of older copies of original Manuscript Scrolls..So we know this type of writing comes at a very late date .. Hollywood and money making Christians will and are capitalizing on this sort of interpretation which is sensationalism. Rarely can we find a respectable forefather or even reformers making such claims. WE are to go forward not back to superstitions.
