JJ was a cop from 2016 to December 2017. He became a paramedic sometime in 2018 I believe.

I think this is when they first replaced the full DiMera mansion with the smaller 'study'. We did get the full set back in 2017 and then they dismantled it again to make room for Julie's restaurant after the time jump in 2019. Then they shrank the Kiriakis set to give us the full DiMera place back in 2021

Nah that started in 2009 when they cut the budget of the show. The show had much better production before then, they used to film outside every now and again up until then.
