I know that feeling brother...Damn that was a hell of a shot...AMAZING! People of the powder burning world don’t look at a modern airgun as a serious tool for pest control and hunting. They still think of the Daisy Red Rider and the Multi Pump big box store guns that are good for plinking and learning shooting safety...NOT! My farthest shot to date was 118 yards on a rabbit. I shot, thought I missed, shot again, thought I missed again so I shot again. I didn’t realize that my first shot killed it instantly and it didn’t move a muscle. The 2 following shots...miraculously also hit it and all 3 shots were within an 1” group on the head and neck. If I had to do that again I don’t know if it would happen but the realization that I hit it made me feel like I was the shit! Damn what an amazing feeling and a hell of a confidence builder in not only your shooting skills but your gear too. And to think I did this with a sub 300$ gun and a 110$ scope. The gun is a Nova Vista Liberty/Alpha in .22 and a UTG 4-16X44 SPA. The only thing I don’t like about the scope is the 30 ish color reticle...I think it is stupid and red and green are enough. Very clear glass and holds zero for ever. Honestly, I shoot this gun more than my Crown. I don’t want to scratch the FX and the Liberty is my go to and truthfully shoots as consistently and as accurately as the Crown out to about 80 yards but at 100 is only slightly less than the Crown by a couple MM. I think the adjustable regulator in the Liberty is more consistent than the Crown though. If I had to do it all over again I would be 2 Grand heavier in my pocket and a couple more Liberty’s in the closet.👍 Again...HELL OF A SHOT! Stay safe, stay well. God bless you and your family in these crazy times bud. Take care.

Again thank you very much for your comment sir, yes this was a pretty special shot for me as it was my longest shot with the Safari, people gave me loads of grief telling me im BS ing them, not going into much detail with that but anyways, it all comes down to having confidence in your equipment and abilities, on that stage i have just mounted a new scope so everything is new again, this is not my farthest shot and not even close to my farthest shot, when i had my Daystate wolverine i shot beer bottles on 251 meter and its also on my channel, i use to be deadly with that gun head shots on 140 + yards and so on, i also use to have a UTG scope and at the time it was very good, i like your story and yes you are so right, todays air rifles are not toys anymore and are capable of doing so much more than in the past. again thank you very much for your comment have a wonderful day,stay safe and God bless

Nice shooting, videoing and editing. I have the Eaglevision 25% X 75% reflector and I see you have one in a previous video. You also listed the 50% X 50%. If you have experience with both, which do you prefer? Thanks. And Happy New Year to you and yours, from the States.

Hi James thanks for watching man i appreciate it. I unfortunately dont have experience with the 50%x50% but from what i understand is that you might see a bit better early mornings and late afternoons when the sun isnt that bright. However you have greater recording quality with the 25%x75%. Happy new year to you too bud

You have to love that sound on the second(and others) you just know there dead. With such power what zero are you set at. I’m still using a 13 year old MVT Airwolf which they stopped to make the MCT. Never understood why? Great shooting and it’s making me look at the .25 as have unused slots on my license.

AirGunnerSA : Thanks for a swift reply, forgot to say my MVT is.22 and it very hard to get two of the same caliba on licence (air gun wise). Can do it with powder, as one can be bolt other semi-auto. That why I’m looking at .25..👍💪🇬🇧

I have a question re finding my pellet BC, If I find the velocity of my pellet at the muzzle do I put my distance chrony at my zero range or a different range, Being sub 12fp I zero at 30m, so would I take the chrony reading of velocity at my zeroed range. Thanks in advance
@AirGunnerSA
@AirGunnerSA 4 жыл бұрын
If you do the bc its advisable to put the chrony as far as possible to get the best results(this is what i have been told and has worked well for me). I would say if your zero distance is 30m try to put it at least 50 to 60m away. I know its a bit difficult with a sub 12fpe air rifle but give it a shot. I dit all my tests at 50m and you see my results. May ask what gun do you have?

Nice long distance shot but in my opinion if you don’t know the wind exactly it’s not right to take the shot as you risk injuring the pigeon and leave it die a painful way.
@AirGunnerSA
@AirGunnerSA 4 жыл бұрын
You will never know what the wind is exactly doing thats why you practice to judge the wind. Experience do play a role and if i were not comfortable takeing that shot i wouldn't.
