Dayton 170,000 Btu kerosene heater. won't stay lit. Fix

I made this video almost a year ago. I still haven't attempted to repair the rubber hose. This was about to be thrown out and I ask if i could get. I was going to fix it and change the rubber hose. I never got around to it. I live in Vegas, and it really never gets that cold here. I'm not working in a garage or area that would need heat from it. i was going to do one or two things keep it and use it when working on my truck or other vehicles in my apartment parking or sell it.

I fixing my lines and cleaned up everything, when I got to put the cover top on it it doesn't work right it cuts off and then doesn't want to start, then when I leave the top cover off it works just fine, any idea what that could be?

If you replace the two rubber hose and it's still cuts off the you need to replace this part. Do you have a dayton heater. amzn.to/3OcowM4

@@Tcl24valamp If you've the exact same one i'll upload a video tomorrow. pointing out the problem with it. also where you can buy the parts to repair it for least them maybe $100
