Most comfortable boots I've ever had. Huge bonus considering protection is my main concern and these have that in spades, more so than some race boots twice the price. If you value your feet and ankles, don't skimp.

It is a great boot. I finally wore out my last pair after 17 years. These boots never got my feet wet over 17 years avg of 10k miles per year as a daily commuter. The look has really never change from when i got my first pair. The shift panel started to fall apart after 16 years. Just clean them and use re spray the water-proofing once a year and they will last you a long time. Daytona has a re-condition program for the boots, new sole, replace shift panel and completely recondition. But it is expensive. If you are not a track rider, these could be the only boot you would need as a daily commuter. I have go down with them. And they have held up.

The only problem with this shoe: I want to buy new boots, but this one is unbreakable, I have mine for 10 years, but still going strong!!!

Proper leather boot should last a lifetime with proper care (and couple repairs or sole replacement).
@gumpertapollo974 жыл бұрын
If anything is worn, you can ship them to the company and get them like new. And for a good price.

This boot is the best touringboot out there. It's also the most comfortable boot ever. You will never get wet feet with these boots or have a feeling of wet feet. Except in the summer, the boots are made for a colder climate so above 24 degrees celsius it can get too hot. But they are warm enough for 0degrees celsius riding, even then your feet aren't cold.
@epiphonesg00711 жыл бұрын
I recommended these to a friend of mine and he agrees with everything i say. He also didn't care about the price, it's more then worth it. I've seen these boots lasts for over 7 years, all they needed was a little touchup (new goretex,leather panels that are scuffed, new sole) for only 130€. So it's a investment well worth it.

80K boots per year is interesting, but can we get some reference points, please? Who sells the most? How many does Dainese sell? This will give us a better perspective. Love that you guys carry Daytona! Keep up the great work!!
@roadglide3 жыл бұрын
The perspective is in the research. When you do it you find Daytona, far and above, gets the highest marks. How many are sold is not relevant. Not everyone can afford top shelf gear. Look at Arai and Shoei helmets, they are far above the better helmets. Probably don’t sell as many numbers as other lower priced brands. Look at Klim gear. Again, best top shelf gear, not everyone can afford them. But have a devoted following of believers in their customer service, product quality, protection and safety value.

No hard shin pate on these, only padding. My shin hurts when I hit it with my hand to test the protection. Other standard touring boots have a hard shin plate. I'm frustrated with this, despite the boots being otherwise very well made and beautiful.

How comfortable are these boots for walking around in and would you recommend doing so? For example, I'm looking for a pair of boots that I can use to tour 400 miles in and then use them to walk around and explore the destination. It would just be easier then having to take a spare pair of boots. Less luggage is better! 👍 Also is it true that they can be re-soled?
@RevZilla8 жыл бұрын
+Rick Pires I find the Road Stars extremely comfortable. I could wear them all-day on and off the bike, so they can definitely be your only footwear needed for moto-travel. As for repair, yes they can be re-soled, but you would need to send them to Daytona in Germany to have it done. -DrewZilla

Are these quite a wide fitting boot? I've tried the 43's but they feel slightly too wide unless I wear thicker socks. And the 42's feel too small even with very thin socks, unless I just need to let them break in? Cheers for the great reviews.....
@RevZilla9 жыл бұрын
+lee longworth Yes, even the regular widths fit a bit wide. For a slightly narrower width, consider the Dainese Latemar Boots. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-latemar-gore-tex-boots

what is the difference between the road star gtx/traveller gtx/travelstar gtx
@RevZilla5 жыл бұрын
Mostly it's the height. The Road Stars are approx. 29cm tall, Traveller: 34cm, and Travel Star: 32cm. The Road Stars have the most adjustability for calf size though. Of the three, we only carry the Road Stars. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/daytona-road-star-gtx-boots

Is there a way to remove the stupid white lettering?
@RevZilla11 ай бұрын
Once you own them, you can do whatever you'd want with them. Paint or markers is always a way of covering up colors if you don't like them, and they are usually in your drawers at home already.

@@RevZillaI understand that I can do that. What I asked for is how to REMOVE the letters off of the boot if there is a way without damaging it too much.
