It was definitely a day that things seemed just a little off. I couldn't get comfortable with the setups today as it seemed the trades were starting to move and then just die off. It seemed like I had to keep hunting more than normal for a setup that I liked and considered an A Class trade. It is amazing how having a little patience and thought about each setup made it a green day, though it was small, I'll take it. It is a learning process and thanks Ross for being such a fantastic teacher.

Since 3 months,I have been following your videos daily without fail to understand the concepts. My progress in trading is slow ranging from $-20 to $15 a day. All my losses are sometimes because of reading pull back wrongly, sometimes due to nervousness and sometimes due to fomo. All my gains are minimal again because of nervousness thinking that it might fall. So my average gain is from 10 cents average. Building confidence and trust on technicals are the main challenges I am having. Just thought to share my side. I really appreciate your sincere efforts in sharing your knowledge and experience. Your accuracy is less because you are swinging for home runs and why not with your profit. I'm learning so much by watching you. I'm 72 and hope that retired boomers will tune in on turn onto your teaching. I now see the breakouts before they happen thanks to you. I don't look for the big breakout yet because I'm not ready but you are and do. When the market is hot and you're looking and betting on a breakout of two to five dollars you'll be there. The big thing is stopping your loss. I did the same thing a few years ago. This is a lesson that I'm still learning. Today lyt took a piece of my butt. I was convinced that it would pop. I just had to wait for it. I didn't realize it started as a $1 stock. Nope, it just kept going down and I had about a 1.58/share loss. I sure wish I stopped it at .10 which is where I originally had it. That's ok. I made it up on that $100 move in spx today starting about 10:00. Easy money. Probably the easiest money this year. I hope to switch it back to a margin account in 2025.

I think I replied a couple weeks ago noting my best day, but today became my best day ever at $45K profit (coming off a loss of $9K yesterday, but up the other days of the week - in my pre-Ross life, yesterday might have negatively impacted me today, but it didn't) You are a great teacher...and even though I don't trade like you (I swing trade over 1 day to 2 week periods), I still apply a lot of concepts from you (especially risk management and keep stepping up to the plate). And something that you have mentioned is for one to develop their own trading style and not try to 'mirror' you - so, maybe I've come close to graduation time.

After a long doubt because of not having a catalyst, traded only MYSZ today. $4.80 to$5, $5.42 to $6.50 and $6.44 to $7.50. On my 5 min chart I've seen a great flag pattern with a side of fibonacci seq. First time, I draw many lines because after $6.44 I was down to $5.18, after my calcs wrote my limit sell to $7.90 but backed down to $7.50. Made 6x my daily goal. Well regulated myself today and traded calmly. Thank you Ross, you're an amazing teacher.💵

Thanks for the video. When I have a rough trading day I always feel better knowing I'm not the only one! One tiny thing about the zooms that you started putting into your videos... If you use the "ease" feature in your video editor they will look much more natural and less noticeable. That ramps up the beginnings and ends of the moves and smooths them out. I'm a video editor and it's actually weird how much it has in common with trading. Thanks again! Looking forward to the weekend's videos.

@@JayGeezw no it was at 8:45 central time on MYSZ. Got in shortly after the halt on the pullback around 7.35 for the break through 7.50. Next candle dumps down $1 a share. Sold out and a few minutes later it rallied back but dumped off again. Could have taken my 20cent/share trade but i got greedy and held a little longer just to catch that jackknife.

Hey Ross in my first week I’ve almost his 10% in about 3 trades the rest of the trades we’rent A+ so I didn’t trade but I’m those 3 days I’ve hit almost 10% on my portfolio and 100+ on all the three of the trades and I’m seeing these videos but I’m not sure where the common sense is at cause you you usually play it aggressively smooth and that’s how ive learned quickly but these past vids I’m seeing that your forgetting some of the basics because of the aggressiveness but I still like learning of you. Keep at it man. I was chasing the big gain from the start, that ain't how it works man. I have a very small account less than $1000. Most of it was In PFLT collecting divedends. I left $100 for trading, After months and months of being a bad trader, I decided to slow it down and figure it out. In 2 weeks I turned that $100 into $300. Yesterday, I sold all my shares in PFLT, so today I had about $650 to trade with. Peaked at $820 today but closed at $756. Only green trades. I have one red day in the last 3 weeks. When i first starting trading the goal was 10% of whatever I bought in with. And I achieved that, by riding the wave. I only do pre market trades, i don't trade open market. It started out $10 a day, then $15 a day. Then $18 a day. Then Came the realization that I need more shares to make this thing grow, so I got rid of my investment stock and took it for a spin. Just have to keep consistency. Not every day has to be huge. When i was only playing with $100, $2 even though less than my goal was still a success in my book because green is always good.

Love seeing this replay so valuable. I took 6 trades on this one today 3 were winner and 3 losers, only $100 max at risk each time with bracket orders, ended up $446 on the day but felt like a read slog on this one. I think I haven’t yet figured out the right setup with hot keys and bracketed orders in trading view / IBKR yet- takes me much too long to shift to jump back in with a slightly different setup and in that time I tend to miss a few seconds of the breakouts

Yeah, totally weird day today. LYT kicked my butt. All the big percentage gainers were just so... deceptive today. Super challenging. Made some on some trades. Lost a bunch on LYT. So many false breakouts followed by precipitous drops. Normal candle patterns and indicators weren't trustworthy today. Ended up heading over to TSLA to ride a little bit of the incremental up and got green on the day. So that's a win, at least. It's encouraging to hear that it was a choppy day for you as well. Switch to a cash account, no PDT rules. The only draw back, is that you lose Margin Trading. You also have to be smarter about your trades, cause they have to settle first, instead of being able to trade right away.

It looks like the diminishing returns you're talking about may not be diminishing in comparison to your 10% fees. It would just be a fun project, and probably a pretty popular Video(s) on the monthly updates throughout all of next year. Just a suggestion.

I enjoy Ross' videos but this is not a short squeeze. This is a standard rally. A short squeeze is where price has been falling for a long time and price reverses into a squeeze as people close out short or sell orders and buy back shares. Hope this helps.

Took my largest red day ever today. Very very disappointed. Got in , up 30 cents a share, blink of an eye later im down over a dollar a share and cutting my losses before it gets worse. Rallied back up a few minutes later but sold off shortly after. Very upsetting to take such a nasty knife .

What I am very curious to know is just how similar a paper trading / simulator scenario is in comparison to "real" trading, aside from the obvious. Needless to say, there aren't any fees or commissions occurring within the simulator, but what other notable deviations between real trading and simulator trading should folks be aware of? The only reason I ask is because after a week of working through the simulator as a brand new, first time trader with ZERO experience (only what I've gathered from watching many of your videos), I've had nothing but green days and wonderfully good fortune as I feel my way through the process, leading me to believe that it can't possibly be THAT easy. There's got to be a catch that I'm not aware of, but am going to be made glaringly aware of once I start trading for real. Is it that buy and sell orders won't be fulfilled as reliably / expeditiously as they are within the simulator? Or are there other caveats to start preparing for, once I'm ready to jump into the "big show"?

Tbh, simulator trading and Real trading are two different ball games. When trading with simulation, your emotions are definitely not attached but when trading live the emotions are present. Why don't you have a talk with Ross for a more detailed response?

MYSZ was my second biggest gainer and it became my bigest loser, got stuborn and continued trading it. I did make money on other trades.

Thought the overall market was dispersed this morning with so many stocks running. Made my goal on 2 tickers this morning +1.26% to the account. Just an observer at the bell and glad I chose to be done for the day.

Thanks Ross for all that you do and especially for the teaching. I have a quick question- during premarket hours do you have a triggered sell with your buy orders? I'm on TOS and it appears this platform can't do them during premarket. At least not by default and I have not found the setting to change yet.

My orders are limit orders I place with hotkeys or the montage!
